Jenelle Evans is turning one year older today. The former "Teen Mom 2" star is now 28 years old, and she marked her special day with the first Instagram update since announcing her split from husband David Eason approximately seven weeks ago.

Instagram has been wishing Jenelle happy birthday, but it's also been commenting on the few pounds that Jenelle appears to have gained.

Yes, the comments section to Jenelle's update today is now dominated by remarks centering around her weight. Fortunately, the trolls were outweighed by more supportive users.

Smiles And A Deep Quote

Jenelle's photo showed her smiling and looking into the distance as she wore a bulky and knitted sweater in mustard yellow. The star wore her long brown hair waved and down. A quote from Gerard Way accompanied the image.

“Sometimes you have to kind of die inside in order to rise from your own ashes and believe in yourself and love yourself to become a new person.”

Jenelle then used a hashtag to wish herself a happy birthday. The post proved popular, racking up over 89,000 likes in six hours, but the trolls were alive and well.

Those Comments, Already

The most-used words in the comments section were "happy" and "healthy."

That said, less-kind words were used.

"Fat AF," a user wrote, with their comment racking up 37 likes in seven hours.

"That's what I'm saying, biggest she ever been," a fan agreed.

A ton of users came out to defend Evans, though.

"You look healthy! People are rude! Curves are the best and don't let anyone make you feel less!" one user stated.

"Rude much???? You don't have much room to talk about how someone looks. You're no Kim Kardashian yourself" was another reply.

"Even with those few lbs, she looks gorgeous and healthy. Stop with all the negativity and let the girl heal in peace. Happy birthday," one fan said.

From Weight To David Eason

While the below user focused on how Jenelle looked, others mentioned David Eason.

"I'm sorry but I see a little weight gained on you and I think it's a good thing. Talking from personal experience and past experience," one user told the star.

Then again, fans of the former MTV face were quick to mention Eason.

One fan told Jenelle that they were proud of her for getting out of a "toxic" relationship.

"So proud of you for making the right decision," another follower said.

That Split Message Is Still Live

October 31 marked the shock announcement from Jenelle.

“I’ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I’ve been focused on making some big life decisions,” she wrote. “I’ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn’t been pretty but it’s been my life. Like anyone else I want what’s best for my kids and I want to be happy. With the time I took away from Teen mom I’ve started looking at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting now," she wrote as she announced that her marriage had come to an end.

Even Farrah Abraham Is Standing By Her – Kind Of

Former "Teen Mom OG" star Farrah Abraham recently weighed in on the split. The 28-year-old may have feuded with Jenelle in the past, but it looks like Farrah has Jenelle's back – even if she's blocked Jenelle.

“I feel like I’m mixed up with what I see and what I hear. So I don’t really know. You know, if someone’s being abused, I just want to say all women need to be smart enough and just focus on themselves and their children. If there is abuse, don’t let abuse occur or happen," Farrah told Hollywood Life.
