Teen Claims Her Brother Molested Her And Parents Did Nothing About It: ‘Life Went Back To Normal’

Addison says her older brother, Colin, molested her when she was 11 and again when she was 13. She claims that after the first incident, her parents didn’t call the police and didn’t do anything to ensure that it wouldn’t happen again.

“She had called a counselor and tried to get him some counseling, but that didn’t really happen,” Addison says of her mother.

The now 17-year says her brother, who is a year older, continued living in the house with them and she built up resentment toward her parents.

“I wanted them to put me first, and I don’t feel like they did that. They let him, you know, just go back to normal … Life just went back to, like, normal, completely normal,” Addison says. “It made me feel like I wasn’t as important as my brother to my parents.”

Addison says that after her brother molested her for a second time, she reported it to her mother who she says was surprised to hear about it. “She was confused, she was angry again, but then again, how angry can you be? I mean, you’re partly to blame because you didn’t do anything in the first place to protect me.”
