Teddi Mellencamp, Tamra Judge Praise Mia and Gordon Thornton

Teddi Mellencamp wants to give Mia and Gordon Thornton their flowers after The Real Housewives of Potomac reunion.

The former Real Housewives star told Tamra Judge on their podcast how much she enjoyed the couple’s performance on part three of RHOP’s final sit-down. “I think Mia and Gordon are putting the ‘Real’ in ‘Real Housewives’ this reunion,” she said.

Teddi is referring to Mia and Gordon’s news that the latter was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. “Bipolar, in and of itself, causes your mind to really work opposite,” Gordon explained. “Your mind tricks you into saying, ‘You are normal; everyone else is slow.’”

Teddi and Tamra thank Mia for making Potomac “watchable” this season…

If you’ve kept up with Season 8 of Potomac, then you likely saw Mia and Gordon’s explosive conversation during the finale episode. In it, Gordon revealed that Mia had been involved with another man, and their son might not be his. Despite this, G still showed up at the reunion to support Mia. He also revealed that Mia had been there for him as well.

“It’s not often that you see a couple get divorced, especially in [the] Housewives universe, and just be so good with each other,” Tamra said. Teddi continued, saying she really appreciates Mia for everything she has shared. She also said she loves her authentic nature and her willingness to move on for the show’s sake.

“Thank you, Mia, for making Potomac possible for us this season,” Teddi said. Tamra also thanked her for making it “watchable.”

We’ll have to see if Season 9 has the same energy. Candiace Dillard Bassett has already announced her departure, and series OG Robyn Dixon told the Bravoverse that she had been “fired” following the reunion. “I will not sugar-coat the situation the situation and say, ‘Ooh I am walking away and this is a break’ or anything like this. This is a network decision,” she said.
