Teddi Mellencamp Shows Her Dad John Mellencamp's Hilarious “PeePaw-isms”

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave may have a rockstar dad, but he's not always a star athlete.

In a recent Instagram post, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared a look at her father, John Mellencamp, displaying one of his hilarious "PeePaw-isms." And while John's videos typically make you want to bust out into song, this one may make you bust out into delighted laughter.

On John's October 7 birthday, the podcast host returned to Instagram to share another look at her dad spending time with his grandchildren. This time, the singer was on the pickleball court at Teddi's Encino house, playing the game with the kids. At one point, he chased the ball off the court and into the pool, where he landed with a thud.

In her caption, Teddi quipped: "Happy birthday, [John Mellencamp.] You’ve given us so many memories filled with joy, laughter, and PeePaw-isms. But none take the cake like this one."

She added: "We love you, Dad. Stick to the stage." You can watch the hilarious video here.

Over the years, Teddi has shared a peek inside the sweetest moments between the rocker grandpa and his grandkids. For example, shortly after Dove was born in 2020, Teddi shared a photo of the baby being cradled in her grandpa's arms.

“She wasn’t born in a small town, and she won’t grow up in a small town, but she loves when Peepaw comes to visit her in the big town,” Teddi wrote in a caption on the adorable Instagram post.

In 2021, the RHOBH alum returned to Instagram to share another sweet photo of Dove cuddled up with John. "Figures, Dove won’t go to anyone that doesn’t live in our house BUT she cuddles with Peepaw after not seeing him in 2 months," Teddi wrote in the caption of the post, which showed her youngest daughter spending time with her grandpa.

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave on Being a "Nepo Baby"

In keeping with being open about her life as well as her relationship with her father, back in April, Teddi shared a stunning photo of herself as a child posing with her famous dad. “I’m a nepo baby,” she wrote in her caption. “I know that; you know that.” Then she went a little deeper.

“There’s been a lot of talk about nepo babies lately — and honestly the conversation interests me,” she shared. “I personally feel having a super driven and ‘celebrity’ parent pushed me even harder and added another level of pressure I put on myself. But I also acknowledge a certain amount of privilege people may feel comes with that.”
