The “Ted” series coming to Peacock has set its premiere date.

The first episode is described as “supersized,” while the remaining six are 30 minutes each. Set in 1993, the series begins as “Ted the bear’s (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed,” per the official description. “He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.”

MacFarlane serves as writer, executive producer, co-showrunner, and director on the series in addition to starring. Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh also serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, and Aimee Carlson of Fuzzy Door Productions also executive produce. The series is produced by UCP, Fuzzy Door, and MRC.
