“Ted Lasso’”s Phil Dunster and “Red, White & Royal Blue's ”Taylor Zakhar Perez Named Ambassadors for 2024 SAG Awards (Exclusive)

“These individuals actively use their platform to advocate for humanitarian and public service endeavors," SAG said of this year's ambassadors

The ambassadors for the upcoming 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have been announced!

On Wednesday, SAG named actors Phil Dunster and Taylor Zakhar Perez as this year's ambassadors because they “exemplify the utmost values of the profession and are positive role models for the next generation of performers,” the Screen Actors Guild shared in a press release. “These individuals actively use their platform to advocate for humanitarian and public service endeavors.”

The Emmy-nominated Ted Lasso actor, 31, and the Red, White & Royal Blue star, 32, will “provide viewers with exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the ceremony and participate in various SAG Awards pre-show events.”

Along with an Emmy nomination for best supporting actor in a comedy series, Dunster was previously nominated for a Critics Choice award for his role as Jamie Tartt. Dunster and the Ted Lasso cast are SAG nominees this year for outstanding ensemble in a comedy series - their third nod in the category.

Zakhar Perez recently starred as Alex Claremont-Diaz opposite Nicholas Galitzine and Uma Thurman in the romantic comedy Red, White & Royal Blue. He was also featured in the first season of Minx.  

On Feb. 20, both will be celebrated at the annual SAG Awards Ambassador Dinner presented by Campari — the iconic Milanese red aperitivo and official spirits sponsor of the 30th ceremony. The event will take place at the Michelin-starred Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant in Hollywood by SAG Awards Executive Chef Curtis Stone.

Barbra Streisand will receive the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's ceremony.

The 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will stream live globally on Netflix Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT from the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall.
