“Ted Lasso”'s Brendan Hunt and Fiancée Shannon Nelson Welcome Baby No. 2

Brendan Hunt is a father of two!

The Ted Lasso star, 51, and his fiancée Shannon Nelson have welcomed their second baby together. The couple confirmed the news via social media on Monday.

Both parents uploaded photos on Instagram, sharing many of the same sweet images, but adding their own heartfelt captions.

Hunt announced that Archibald Felix Nelson Hunt was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday, ahead of his due date because he “felt like rolling up three days early.”

The newborn, who is “in perfect health, has already been nicknamed “Archie," and has already had an eventful first few days, according to his father.

“He’s met his bro and his grandmother and he’s even watched his first Arsenal game,” the actor continued in his caption.

“Meet Archie Felix Nelson Hunt. Born roaring on Friday 3/1/24 at 11:06pm. 9lbs 3.4oz and 21 inches long,” Nelson wrote for her upload.

“Your mom and dad, big brother Seanie and Lucy 😻 are so completely in love and so lucky you decided to join us so our family hugs will only be stronger. I love you my sweet baby🩵🩷,” she added.

The couple are already parents to 2-year-old son Sean.

Hunt, best known for playing Coach Beard on the Apple TV+ series, and Nelson recently got engaged, announcing that he had proposed to his girlfriend on his Instagram only a few days after the season 3 finale of Ted Lasso aired.

"The majestic @snoopshann, so rarely photographed in her natural habitat, captured here in the act of saying 'yes,' " he wrote alongside a picture of Nelson smiling from ear to ear as she displayed a shining emerald cut ring. Fans and friends of the couple, including Anika Noni Rose, Amanda Kloots and Kay Cannon, flocked to the comment section to express their well wishes.

Nelson also raved about the engagement by sharing the same photo and a selfie with Hunt on her own Instagram page.

"We are a family," she wrote. "A beautiful wonderful family and will be for always. Some folks have assumed we had already done this, but truth be told we had other priorities in becoming a family. Now it feels right. I get to marry this beautiful man. I get to call him my husband and to be his wife and I am the luckiest.❤️"

Although the two don't often post about each other, they do take time to share special moments with Sean. "I am so excited to watch Sean discover every day what a jackpot he won getting you to be his Dad. Here’s to a lifetime of Father’s Days and some that may even allow you more sleep. We love you so much!" wrote Nelson in a sweet message to Hunt for his first Father's Day in 2021.

She echoed similar sentiments when celebrating Ted Lasso's season 3 finale with a series of on-set Instagram photos.

"Special love to our Beard who creates magic everywhere he goes," she wrote. "TL#2 and his Mommy are so proud of you and what you helped make. Tonight/tomorrow we say goodbye to Nelson Rd. and we can’t wait for what comes next."
