Ted Bundy is undoubtedly one of the most notorious serial killers of all time. Reports suggest that apart from killing young women and girls, he even kidnaped and raped them. According to Crime Museum, his reign of terror lasted from 1974 to 1978. Even though confessed to the murder of 30 individuals, it is speculated that the actual number is much higher.

For his crimes, authorities sentenced Ted Bundy to three death sentences. Ultimately, on January 24, 1989, he was executed at Florida State Prison. At the time of his death, he was 43 years old.

In 1980, an author named Ann Rule wrote a biography about the serial killer titled The Stranger Beside Me. She described the serial killer as, “A sadistic sociopath who took pleasure from another human’s pain and the control he had over his victims, to the point of death and even after.”

Like every death row inmate, Bundy too had a last meal. According to CBS News, his last meal consisted of steak cooked medium-rare, eggs over easy, hash browns, toast with butter and jelly, milk, and juice. This is a traditional meal served served to every inmate before their execution.

Did the serial killer decline a special meal?

CBS News reported that Ted Bundy declined a special meal before his execution. Hence he was served the traditional aforementioned menu. According to Cosmopolitan, he once famously stated that pornographic content can destroy a person’s life, just like it destroyed his.

Ted Bundy said, “Those of us who have been so much influenced by violence in the media, in particular pornographic violence, are not some kinds of inherent monsters. We are your sons, and we are your husbands. And we grew up in regular families. And pornography can reach out and snatch a kid out of any house today. It snatched me out of my home 20, 30 years ago.”

Ted Bundy was born on November 24, 1946, to Eleanor Louise Cowell. However, the name of this biological father was never confirmed.
