Teams interested in DeAndre Hopkins want Cardinals to come off asking price

The Arizona Cardinals are shopping wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. There is interest around the league but they do not intend on just giving him away.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, appearing on NFL Live, he said the Cardinals are firm on getting “a Christian McCaffrey package,” getting a second-round pick and more — “something big.”

Per Fowler, a deal could come in the near future, but “the Cardinals will have to come off their asking price.”

There is no real rush. It could go until the draft and then, if the price needs to come down, it makes sense.

But it doesn’t make sense to settle now when the Cardinals have plenty of cap space.

Five teams are supposedly interested in trading for Hopkins.

Hopkins only played in nine games last season due to suspension and injury. He still had 64 catches for 717 yards and three touchdowns.
