Team Arrow: Remembering the new recruits ahead of Season 6

Arrow‘s Season 5 finale ended with a hell of a cliffhanger — nearly all of the supporting cast was trapped on an island when it was blown up by Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra), aka Prometheus. It capped a season that reinvigorated the series with new blood so, to celebrate, Warner Bros. put together a supercut of the Team Arrow additions to remind us why we fell in love with them — and what we’ll miss if they don’t make it off the island.

Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez) took the term “loose cannon” to new heights, but it was the fight to reunite with his daughter that really made the character engaging.

Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum) continues to deliver comic relief — especially when he tag-teams with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) — but the show has been letting him stretch his badassery muscles as well, making him the total package.

Artemis (Madison McLaughlin) turned on Team Arrow, so she may not make it to Season 6; but now you can go back and see if you can spot the clues leading to her inevitable betrayal.

Ragman (Joe Dinicol) may be the most interesting of the new recruits, but his magical powers could have actually been an impediment to the team — from a storytelling angle, anyway. Honest-to-goodness superpowers are more at home on The Flash, though Rory will be returning for Season 6 regardless.

Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy) proved an able replacement for Earth-1’s Canary; what happens when Katie Cassidy returns as a series regular next season as Earth-2 Laurel Lance?

Arrow: The Complete Fifth Season is out on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital on September 19. Season 6 premieres October 12 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
