Teachers in Belgorod Oblast of Russia to be taught how to inform students about loss of their "breadwinners"

The program called "Taking Care Together" will be introduced in schools of Belgorod Oblast of the Russian Federation by the end of 2022; according to it, teachers will be instructed on how to inform students about the loss of the "sole breadwinner" in their families.

Details: Mediazone reported that the main agenda of the project proposed by local officials will be "Loss of the sole breadwinner".

Local news outlets say that the school teachers will be trained how to inform students about the loss of a father and how to behave so as not to harm children.

According to the program, social teachers, psychologists and class teachers will have to "unobtrusively and carefully" support the emotional state of schoolchildren.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, the Governor of Belgorod Oblast, explained that it is about creating a digital service in schools for psychological assistance to students who lost one of their parents. "The service will collect all the information from the moment of loss of a parent to the child's graduation from school," Gladkov said.
