  • Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department isn't out yet, but fans already have a ton of theories about what the songs mean.

  • Take "loml."

  • It could stand for "love of my life," "loss of my life" or "loss of my love."

Due to 1) having almost no chill at all, and 2) The Tortured Poets Department already being our entire personality, we went ahead and put together a comprehensive breakdown of alllll the theories about Taylor Swift's TTPD tracklist:

That said, a couple of songs need demand further investigation. We already dove deep into some truly genius fan theories about "The Alchemy" and "Guilty as Sin?" but let's take a quick moment to discuss (read: spiral over) "loml."

Upon first seeing this song on the Tortured Poets tracklist, we assumed the acronym stood for "love of my life" and was potentially a breakup song about Taylor and Joe Alwyn. How! Ev! Er! Several fans have pointed out that the acronym could have a more unexpected meaning, like "loss of my life" (which may allude to the end of her relationship), or even "loss of my love."

Anonymous sources, tortured man clubs, cheating rumors—it's all just a lot.

Either way, the spiraling is acute. As one person put it, "loml can mean 'love of my life' or 'loss of my life' or something else entirely different and unhinged and oh god i'm having a breakdown."

Yet another fan also noted that it could mean "love OR my life," in which case Taylor is singing about choosing between her love (aka Joe Alwyn) and having a more public life (reminder: she and Joe were VERY private).

LOTS TO THINK ABOUT while we patiently wait for April 19 to roll around (time is crawling, and it's frankly rude).
