Taylor Swift's Publicist Finally Debunked This 'Insane' Joe Alwyn Rumor in a Very Rare Public Statement

It’s unusual to heard from Taylor Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, when it comes to rumors about the superstar. So it was quite the out-of-the-ordinary day when Paine decided to break her silence to not only debunk a burning internet rumor about Swift and ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, but to also slam the anonymous Instagram gossip account DeuxMoi for spreading the gossip.

DeuxMoi claimed that Swift and Alwyn had a marriage or commitment ceremony either during the pandemic in 2020 or sometime in 2021. The tea started to resurface again after the account shared an unconfirmed (and now-deleted) post that the 33-year-old singer’s track, “You’re Losing Me,” described a miscarriage she had while with Alwyn, which eventually led to their split. That was the breaking point for Paine, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to stop the alleged nonsense.

“Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind,” she wrote along with a screen grab of the DeuxMoi post. “This is an insane thing to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”

DeuxMoi responded defensively writing in her Instagram Story, “Well I make zero dollars from lying… can publicists say the same. Also, to relate something that is in reference to something that happened years ago to ‘pain & trauma’ after what just happened seems like a poor choice of words. Either way, I apologize to Taylor.” The anonymous person who runs the account has novel, Anon Pls. which is being turned into a scripted series for Max, along with two podcasts, so they do profit indirectly from what they post.

Either way, DeuxMoi is probably going to stay far away from Swift stories for a long time because Paine is going to hold them accountable from here on out.
