Travis Kelce exceeded expectations from Taylor Swift's fans when his old tweets went viral this week.

As the superstar singer, 33, and NFL champion, 34, continue their budding romance, Swift's fans (commonly referred to as Swifties) have been protective of the "Karma" singer, and Kelce passed another important test recently.

The Kansas City Chiefs star has been posting on X (formerly known as Twitter) since Sept. 2009, and it's no secret that years-old posts on the app have gotten public figures in some trouble in the past.

But Kelce's old posts to the social network proved to Swifties that he's just a wholesome, Chipotle-loving guy from Ohio who has a curiosity for squirrels but a hard time spelling.

A post by Kelce on X from April 14, 2011 said, "I just gave a squirle a peice of bread and it straight smashed all of it!!!! I had no idea they ate bread like that!! Haha #crazy."

On May 19, 2011, Kelce complained about an issue most of us know all too well. "I hate it when the #Chipotle line is damn near to the door.... Smh," he posted.

An account dedicated to discussing the singer shared Kelce's complaint about the chain restaurant's layout to their followers and said, "Why did this specific tweet make me fully on board of this relationship," adding that Swift "needs to be with someone who knows what this is like."

That sentiment was popular with Swifties, and the account's post garnered over 2,500 likes.

On Feb. 1, 2010, Kelce let his followers know he was planning to take a nap. The post was timestamped at 12:05 p.m.

Swifties appreciated the athlete's lack of problematic posts and found the content of Kelce's posts wholesome and endearing.

The loyal fanbase was also impressed with Kelce's mention of going to therapy. "Went from class to therapy, now I need some #chipolte and then I'm off to check out my new apt," Kelce wrote on April 27, 2011.

"Good Taylor finally found someone who’s been to therapy," a post on X resharing Kelce's said, earning more than 14,000 likes in less than 24 hours.

Some fans pointed out that Kelce may have been referring to physical therapy in his post, but the Swifties agreed that Kelce seems to be the perfect match for their pop icon.

"He means physical therapy or some type of sports therapy. The fact that he is a confident adult is why this relationship feels different," one fan said.

Kelce's old posts include several mentions to Chipotle, but fans poked fun at the NFL star's consistent misspelling of the popular chain's name.

"Chipolte for life," one account wrote over a screenshot of Kelce's multiple misspellings.

The same account teased Kelce for using "missed placed" where he meant "misplaced" in a 2010 post complaining about losing his phone.

In August of 2010, Kelce posted, "The moon looks crazy tonight... Imma chill out here for a little and just visualize my success n vibe to the scenary."

These days, Kelce spends less time tweeting and most of his time playing football, or hanging with Swift. On Saturday, he and the 12-time Grammy winnder gave Swifties the moment they'd been waiting for when the singer publicly kissed her new beau after her concert in Buenos Aires.

Swift also sent social media into a frenzy when she changed the lyrics to her song "Karma" to include a nod to Kelce. "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs comin' straight home to me," she sang in front of a sold out arena in Argentina.

The Chiefs tight end revealed Wednesday that he had prior warning that Swift might do something special to recognize his presence in the audience, after he flew to Argentina for the weekend on his bye week.

“Yeah no I had no clue that...” he began, before shifting gears and admitting, “Well, I might have had a little bit of a clue, but definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, [it] still shocked me.”

Reflecting on Swift’s show generally, Travis, who has been romantically linked to the singer since September, said he was “blown away” by the three-hour long set, which features a collection of her hits from throughout her career.

“It’s an electric crowd too,” he added of the crowd that he described as between 65,000 and 70,000 people. “It was fun, man.”

He concluded the podcast’s segment about his visit to Argentina by sharing, “I was enjoying myself down there in Buenos Aires. The show was even more electric knowing that I had a little bit more to enjoy it for and yeah. Taylor absolutely ripped it. She killed it. And it looked like she was having some fun up there.”
