About two weeks ago, pop star Taylor Swift was seen wearing a retro Kansas Jayhawks sweatshirt in a viral video for the ‘‘Fortnight Challenge.”

Now, Kansas Athletics is selling that Kansas Jayhawks retro sweatshirt. The price is $54.99. Size small had already sold out in under 30 minutes.

Medium and large momentarily appeared to be sold out, too, but are once again listed on the site. The link is: http://bit.ly/KURetroSweatshirt.

KU Athletics teased the sweatshirt release on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday morning.

“As @taylorswift13 would say…not a lot going on at the moment,” read a KU social media post.

Jayhawk fans had plenty of interest in the sweatshirt when the video was released ... only to find out they’d have to get creative in acquiring it.

In fact, any Taylor Swift-KU crossover usually results in plenty of social-media buzz.

“Taylor Swift is a Jayhawk,” tweeted KU fan @ChrisKern11 back in April.

“Taylor Swift wearing a KU sweatshirt is my Roman Empire,” wrote another Swift fan on X.

Meanwhile, another Kansas fan may have even inspired the idea of selling the sweatshirt.

“Taylor Swift. The greatest NIL potential in history. Rock Chalk Jayhawk.” tweeted @bewarephog.

Swift has been to Lawrence before, though it’s been a while. Back in 2009, she visited Lawrence to see her best friend, Abigail Anderson, a KU student. Swift was just 19 years old.

Maybe she’ll be back soon ... sporting that retro KU sweatshirt.
