Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are settling an age-old debate: is it socially acceptable to sit on the same side of the booth as your date?

Answer: Yes, it's Tayvis approved.

While grabbing dinner in Los Angeles, the couple was captured dining side by side in a booth, and fans took note.

"Why are they the same booth couple," one user wrote on X.

Sitting side by side or across from your date is actually a heated debate. In fact, there's an entire Reddit thread dedicated to the topic. Despite the fact that the original poster started the conversation by writing, "Couples who sit on the same side of the booth are weird," plenty of others were quick to make a case for Taylor and Travis' preferred seating arrangement.

"Me and my husband always sit next to each other. So we can judge other people together! 😆," one person joked in the comments.

"I just like sitting close to my [significant other], and we often will watch videos or look at memes or play games together while we wait for our food," another added.

There are plenty of reasons why a person might opt for side-by-side seating despite the internet stigma. For starters, it might just make more sense logistically so you can hear in a loud restaurant, share food, or carry on a private conversation so you're not projecting across the table. And yes, it can be perceived as more intimate or romantic, as well. Swift and Kelce certainly look cozy tucked in there.

The duo's stance on same-side-of-the-table dining isn't the only thing fans called out in the comments. Their palpable chemistry was also on display.
