The 2024 Grammys will recognize music released between October 2022 and September 2023, which means the industry’s biggest names have begun their “For Your Consideration” campaigns in hopes of taking home an award. Among the names in contention for music’s biggest night is, unsurprisingly, Taylor Swift, who’s enjoyed a record-breaking year thanks to her album Midnights and its accompanying “The Eras Tour.”
Swift has submitted Midnights for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. Additionally, she sent in lead single “Anti-Hero” for consideration for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video. She’s also gunning for “Karma (ft. Ice Spice)” to win the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Midnights was the best-selling album of 2022 and logged 10 Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Swift’s 10th studio album also made her the first and only artist to have five LPs debut with over 1 million units sold in their first week — one of 73 records the superstar broke with its rollout.
Swift has won 12 Grammys to date, including three Album of the Year trophies for Fearless, 1989, and folklore. If Midnights does prove victorious, she will become the first artist to win Album of the Year four times.
After releasing her latest record, Swift hit the road on “The Eras Tour,” which drew in the type of audience numbers that cause earthquake-level seismic activity. Naturally, the show has been immortalized with a concert film that’s hitting theaters this weekend.
“The Eras Tour” isn’t over yet, however: Swift will perform in Latin America in November, then head over to Asia, Australia, Europe, and the UK in 2024 before doing another run of North American concerts. You can find tickets to her North American shows here, and all other international dates here.
