Also included in the post was a photo of song lyrics that read, "And so I enter into evidence/ My tarnished coat of arms / My muses, acquired like bruises / My talismans and charms / The tick, tick, tick of love bombs/ My veins of pitch black ink."

Underneath the lyrics, Swift wrote, "All's fair in love and poetry ... Sincerely, The Chairman of The Tortured Poets Department."

"I want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way. But I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans. So I want to say thank you to the fans by telling you a secret that I've been keeping from you for the last two years, which is that my brand new album comes out on April 19," she said.

The news comes amid speculation that Swift's next album would be Reputation (Taylor's Version), after having released 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in October 2023. The release of the re-recorded was one Swift said was inspired after having "reclaimed" a part of her in 2023.

"I was born in 1989, reinvented for the first time in 2014, and a part of me was reclaimed in 2023 with the re-release of this album I love so dearly," Swift wrote on Instagram. "Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the magic would you sprinkle on my life for so long. This moment is a reflection of the woods we've wandered through and all this love between us still glowing in the darkest dark. I present to you, with gratitude and wild wonder, my version of 1989. It's been waiting for you. Taylor"
