Several off-duty LAPD officers had traveled to the Las Vegas music festival over the weekend when they, and the rest of attendees, were brutally attacked by a gunman. One of the people injured was a female police officer from Foothill Community Police Station in Pacoima, California. All we know is that her name was Deb, she was at the festival enjoying herself like everybody else when she was shot, and Taylor Swift sent her flowers.

“Talk about a class act! @taylorswift sent multiple bouquets of flowers and plants to our station, as one of our officers was shot in Las Vegas last night,” LAPD Intel Analyst Kimberlee Binder shared on her Instagram. “This is one of the smaller arrangements. Beautiful flowers can bring a smile to anyone’s face. Much respect.”

The LAPD issued a statement that the officer is going to be okay and that she is recovering.

“Thank you to all who have called and experienced concerns of our Foothill Female Officer. She is stable and doing well. We wish everyone who remains in Las Vegas and in attendance safe returns,” LAPD posted on its Facebook.

Swift has a lovely habit of showering people with flowers. We’re guessing that if Swift had known the mailing addresses and identities of the other 500+ injured individuals, they would have received flowers, too.

Yesterday morning, Swift wrote on Twitter, “There are no words to express the helplessness and sorrow my broken heart feels for the victims in Vegas and their families.”

While it is only one set of flowers to one police station, any act of kindness in the aftermath of this devastation is welcomed.
