Indy fans were devastated when dates for the Eras tour came out and their city was not on the list. Now that sadness has turned to explosive excitement.

When Taylor Swift returns to Lucas Oil Stadium in 2024, it'll be six years since her last tour date in Indianapolis.

Swift came in 2018 and performed for a crowd of more than 55,000 people — a record at the time for the venue — on her Reputation tour. Former IndyStar journalist David Lindquist described it as, "The perfect moment in her career to graduate from singing in arenas to singing in stadiums."

At the show, she told the crowd she remembers visiting the stadium to play for the Future Farmers of America convention a decade earlier. At that performance, she thought it would be completely unattainable to play there as part of her own tour.
