Taylor Swift pays tribute to Selena Gomez's 26th birthday in the sweetest way

Taylor Swift‘s known for having a lot of besties — a whole squad of them, in fact — but you never forget your first.

In Swift’s case, that’s O.G. pal Selena Gomez, who turned 26 on July 22. Despite being apart from her longtime buddy on her special day — Swift spent the weekend performing in New Jersey on her “Reputation” tour — the pop star and newly minted Cats actress couldn’t resist marking the occasion in an adorable way.

Cue the cake!

Despite the distance, Swift took the time to bake a homemade cake for Gomez, complete with gooey layers of pink icing, a heart design, and the message “Gomez or Go Home.” Sure beats the standard belated birthday card and empty “I’ll buy you a drink when I see you next” promise.

Swift wasn’t the only Gomez pal to honor her birthday. Photographer Petra Collins, who has collaborated with the singer on several recent projects, called her a “constant and strong woman in my life.” Supermodel Miranda Kerr also devoted a post to the birthday girl.

Touching … but it’s hard to top a birthday cake.
