The clip shows a missing "1" key on a typewriter, which fans think could be a nod to her 'Folklore' tune 'The 1'

Less than 24 hours after Taylor Swift released her "Fortnight" music video alongside Post Malone, her loyal legion of fans is already pointing out a few Easter eggs!

The clip, directed by the 34-year-old pop star and released on Friday, April 19, features plenty of moments to stop Swifities in their tracks — from disappearing tattoos to appearances from Dead Poets Society actors Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles.

And some fans suspect that Swift's first visual offering off The Tortured Poets Department might even nod to her split with ex Joe Alwyn during one scene.

At the 1:44 mark in the video, a close-up of Swift's hands shows her working on a typewriter, though it has some glaring omissions in its keys. Specifically, the typewriter doesn't seem to have a key for the number "1," despite having keys for digits 2-9 — and even a 0.

Swift's connection to the number 1 can be dated back to her 2020 release Folklore, which began with the track "The 1" — a song about life after a former love that could've been endgame. ("But it would've been fun / If you would've been the one," she sings in the song's chorus.)

Swift previously swapped fan-favorite "Invisible String" with "The 1" for her March 2023 Eras Tour set list in Arlington, Texas, just days before news broke that she and Alwyn, 33, had split.

As for the typewriter aspect of Swift's new visual, it also has some added significance, as her ex-boyfriend, Matty Healy, has a public affinity for typewriters.

In a 2018 GQ interview, The 1975 frontman revealed that he “really” liked working on typewriters, which he said allowed him to "concentrate a bit better."

Swift herself has let fans know that the "Fortnight" video is full of Easter eggs, writing on Instagram that "pretty much everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another."

"When I was writing the Fortnight music video, I wanted to show you the worlds I saw in my head that served as the backdrop for making this music," she added.

Swift first announced on Thursday, April 18 that her Post Malone-featuring track would mark the first single off The Tortured Poets Department, sharing with fans that she's been "such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever."

“I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on 'Fortnight,' " she added.

After the release, she revealed that the singer and rapper "blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero and I’m so grateful to him for everything he put into this collaboration."
