Taylor Swift May Have Referenced Matty Healy in New TTPD Performance on Eras Tour

On Thursday, Taylor Swift began the next leg of her Eras Tour in Paris, and her latest album The Tortured Poets Department has become a part of her set. Since its release, fans have been analyzing which songs are about which of Swift’s recent amours and some believe she is making some clear references to her former fling Matty Healy in the new live performance.

Her song “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” is rumored to be about The 1975 frontman and during the show Swift seemingly repeated a piece of choreography that Healy is known for doing when he performs with his band. As she sang, she began marching and then signed off with a salute, which is something Healy usually does while performing his band’s track “Love It If We Made It.”

One fan noted the similarity on X, formerly known as Twitter, and drew parallels between the lighting and color palette Swift used that matches The 1975’s set design.

Swift and Healy only dated for a few months in 2023, shortly after she split with her boyfriend of six years, actor Joe Alwyn. However, they’ve known each other for some time and were rumored to be dating briefly over a decade ago as well. Healy was recently asked about TTPD, and admitted that he hasn’t listened to it.

“I haven’t really listened to that much of it but I’m sure it’s good,” Healy told the paparazzi. A source told Us Weekly, however, that the musician isn’t loving being the center of attention once again, especially because he’s currently dating someone new—model Gabbriette Bechtel.

“Matty’s uncomfortable with the renewed attention on his relationship [with Taylor], especially because he’s [with someone] new,” the insider said.
