Taylor Swift Makes Surprise ‘SNL’ Appearance Introducing Ice Spice After Travis Kelce Cameo

Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live to introduce her friend Ice Spice, who was the musical guest.

Swift followed Travis Kelce’s cameo earlier in the show in a parody of the excessive NFL coverage the singer and the Kansas City Chiefs have been getting.

The Wildest Dreams singer has been having a wild week following the premiere of The Eras Tour concert film. Swift has dominated the box office with a “near-record opening day for October with $39M” with estimates of a $90M-$109M weekend.

Aside from Swift’s concert film, the star has been dominating the headlines with her rumored romance with football star Kelce. Although neither Swift nor Kelce have confirmed they are in a relationship, the couple have been spending a lot of time together. The songwriter has attended three Chiefs games, hung out with Kelce’s mom while watching the games and now their SNL cameo appearances.

The NFL has been criticized for the excessive coverage they have given Swift and Kelce at each game, something which the football organization has defended.

“We frequently change our bios and profile imagery based on what’s happening in and around our games, as well as culturally,” the NFL said in a statement. “The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce news has been a pop cultural moment we’ve leaned into in real-time, as it’s an intersection of sport and entertainment, and we’ve seen an incredible amount of positivity around the sport.”

“The vast majority of our content has remained focused on the game, our players and variety of other initiatives, including our Toy Story Funday Football alt-cast, the international games and more.”
