What big news will Jimmie Allen break to his fans later this month?

That's a mystery the Milton country star's supporters are trying to decode after he teased a video clip on his Instagram page recently.

Here's what we know about the latest IG post by Allen, a singer who did a commercial with Taylor Swift early in his career (see below for details) — plus more news about the "Down Home" singer.

What did Jimmie Allen post on Instagram?

The video clip on Allen’s IG page was professionally shot and less than one minute.

It opens with the text "Somewhere Down Home ...." and eventually cuts to a cornfield. Allen is carrying a nearly empty gas can and pours it into a rusty barrel, before lighting a match and tossing it in the barrel. The video ends on a cliffhanger, teasing the date: "11.17.23."

The post included the hashtag #Culturefifteen, a tag Allen has used in several of his Instagram posts since September.

Jimmie Allen's fans beg for 'new music!!!'

The Delaware native's fans went to his comments section on Instagram to react to the video and share other messages with him.

"NOVEMBER 17th WILL BE THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE" an excited fan wrote in uppercase letters.

"Please be new music!!! Whatever it is I’m excited!" another fan added.

"Burn away the negativity to refresh with the new positive energy,” a supporter shared. “we here in Sussex County support you, Jimmie, and we will never give up on you hugs and be blessed," they continued.

Allen responds to Instagram roast

A fan pointed out the gas can in Allen's video was on 'e'. The country star reacted to the commenter.

"got about two drops of gas in that can too," the fan wrote. "I put the rest in my boat," Allen responded, adding two laughing emojis to his message.

A third person said, "fuel is expensive dawg — I would have used water." Allen liked that comment.

Pop icon Taylor Swift is on the Mount Rushmore of trending music artists these days. It’s hard to believe this year marks the 10th-year anniversary of her soda commercial featuring an up-and-coming Allen.

Swift's first Diet Coke commercial was in 2013 and it displayed actors from different walks of life singing her song "22." That included Allen, who is alone driving a car and crooning the lyrics, "It feels like a perfect night / To dress up like hipsters."

At that time, Swift already was a Grammy winner and household name whereas Allen, who was unknown to many Delawareans back then, was eight years away from landing his first Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

The rest has been history.

In a full-circle way, Swift and Allen were spotted taking photos together at the American Music Awards in 2022.

In May, Allen's former manager filed a lawsuit against him accusing him of sexual assault. A second woman, identified as Jane Doe 2, filed a lawsuit in June that claimed she was also assaulted by the singer.

No charges have been filed against the artist.

The Grammy-nominated artist countersued both women in July. The singer's record label dropped him shortly after the second accuser went public.

Allen likely to sell out Christmas concerts in Delaware

The "Mercury Lane" singer is involved in a couple of benefits this holiday season. This includes raising funds for the fourth annual Special Forces Charitable Trust’s Celebrity | Green Beret Tactical Challenge at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, on Wednesday, Dec. 13, and Thursday, Dec. 14.

Allen also is performing two charity Christmas concerts at Dewey Beach. The first show is already sold out, and the second probably isn't far behind.

That second show is at the Bottle & Cork on Saturday, Dec. 16. Tickets for that Christmas concert are on sale. Both shows will benefit Sussex Consortium.

Bottle & Cork (1807 Highway One, Dewey Beach) at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16. Tickets are $60 (plus $8.25 booking fee). Visit facebook.com/bottleandcork or bottleandcork.com or (302) 227-7272.
