If you are one of the Swifties who listened to the alleged leak of Taylor Swift's The Tortured Poets Department, can you answer some questions for me? Because word on the street is that most of the album isn't about Joe Alwyn, as expected, but about Matty Healy, her problematic boyfriend of a few months in early 2023. And Charlie Puth is also involved? The leak has already been removed, apparently, but that hasn't stopped social media from talking about it. Can someone please explain?

“Taylor swift basically defending matty and denouncing her ‘fans’ for ruining things was not on my 2024 bingo card but … we love to see it,” reads one cryptic tweet. In the comments, the poster clarified, “her song ‘but daddy i love him’ was leaked i fear.” In fact, many fans seem to be claiming the track, “But Daddy I Love Him,” is a specific reference to Healy, who is the lead singer of the band The 1975.

“Imagine telling the whole world that not only did you date matty healy but you also got ghosted by him,” claims another tweet. “The Tortured Poets Department being about Matty Healy and not Joe Alwyn is the gag of the century,” wrote another Twitter-user.

Other Swifties were less focused on Healy than they were on justice for Alwyn: “Joe Alwyn being there for her when she was at her lowest and her not being there for him at his lowest. Oh Joe. I have always loved you.”

Meanwhile, other social media users are talking about Charlie Puth.

“'We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist' He wrote a song calling one of your best friends manipulative for refusing sex multiple times,” tweeted one person, apparently referring to a lyric from the leaked album. “Making an album called the tortured poets department and then name dropping charlie puth has got to be one of the funniest things anyone could do,” wrote another.
