Taylor Swift fans descend on London pub mentioned on her new album

Taylor Swift fans have been flocking to a London pub after it was named on her new album.
Released to worldwide acclaim on Friday, The Tortured Poet’s Department name-checks The Black Dog in Vauxhall, south-west London.
The pub is mentioned as “some bar” on a track called The Black Dog.
It has since become so crowded with ‘Swifties’ that staff have had to turn away customers.
Fans have raced to the venue, with some buying pint glasses as souvenirs.
One member of the bar staff, Amy Cowley, 41, from Walthamstow, London, said the pub’s newfound fame has been “surreal”.
“Last night we were turning people away because we were at total mass capacity.”
The first 100 fans to arrive were offered a free half pint if they could quote a line from the song.
Twins Kylee and Jordan Ludwig and their friend Katelyn Anziano, all 20, were very excited to visit the pub after the song dropped.
Kylee told MailOnline: “As soon as we heard the lyrics and realised it was a real place, we knew we just had to come here. We can now say we were in The Black Dog on the day of its release.
“We’ve actually been living in Highgate, which is obviously mentioned in the song ‘London Boy’ and is around where Joe Alwyn is from.”
The trio of self-proclaimed ‘mega-Swifties’ are from America, but have been studying at London’s Arcadia University since January.
The tracklist for the record has already offered hints on whether songs refer to her English ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, but fans have also speculated it could be The 1975 lead Matty Healy, with whom she briefly had a relationship.
Google reviews for the pub have seen an onslaught of five star ratings, with users commenting Taylor Swift lyrics and references to Alwyn, like: “Joe Alwyn was here” and “stay away Joe Alwyn.”
The Black Dog team referenced these rumours after posting a video on TikTok that went viral and earned more than 12,000 views as of Saturday.
In a sped-up video of a staff member rushing to a computer, the caption reads: “POV you work at The Black Dog (yes the actual pub Taylor name-dropped) and desperately trying to figure out if it was Matty or Joe”.
The team plans to keep fans “in suspense” after Swifties suggested checking the pub’s CCTV footage for any sighting of Swift or her ex-boyfriends.
“The mystery is actually part of the fun,” Ms Cowley said.
She added that the pub has increased its security and expects more fans to visit during June and August when Swift is due to perform at Wembley Stadium on her Eras Tour.
