Taylor Swift’s Ex Joe Alwyn Has ‘Moved On’ Following Relationship With Singer

Despite reports, Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn is said to be unbothered after the release of her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” in mid-April.

Alwyn Has 'Moved On' After Breakup

A source told People magazine that the British actor, 33, has moved on since his high-profile relationship with Swift ended in April of 2023. While it was reported that Alwyn was "slightly disappointed" in the new album, the source told the magazine that he is more than happy to remain out of the spotlight.

“More than a year after their breakup… the 33-year-old actor is ‘doing well’ and ‘focused on work.’”

“‘He’s dating and happy. He’s a great guy and not into drama in any way’,” according to People.

“Alwyn has ‘moved on’ from Swift, 34, and ‘certainly doesn’t talk poorly about her,’ the source says. ‘He was in love with her, and it just didn’t work out.’ The source continues of his career, ‘Joe loves acting, but can’t stand the attention that comes with it. He’s not comfortable in the spotlight.’”

TTPD Appears Aimed At Healy

Swift fans are famous for analyzing and decoding lyrics to every song on every album in order gain insight into the famous singer’s past relationships. Swifties were quick to point out that, although Alwyn and Swift’s relationship lasted from 2017 to 2023, the bulk of her latest release appeared to be aimed at her summer fling with The 1975’s Matty Healy.

Healy and Swift had been linked together in the past, but she rebounded with him shortly after officially splitting from Alwyn. Although brief, it appears Swift was more inspired by Healy.

Alwyn 'Wasn't Showing Off' Relationship With Swift

It’s probably a relief to Alwyn, as People reported that “Alwyn was always keen to keep his romance with Swift ‘his own personal story,’ a source told PEOPLE. The relationship initially ‘took a lot of people by surprise,’ the source added, but Alwyn ‘wasn’t showing off.’”

Despite the claim of being moved on, it was reported that Alwyn had banned any mention of the album or his famous ex on the press tour for his upcoming film, "Kinds of Kindness."

"According to an insider who spoke with the DailyMail, Alwyn is 'slightly disappointed' by what Swift wrote about their romance in her new album and has 'banned' any questions about the relationship during the press tour for his upcoming film. The insider further noted that the actor does not intend to address the songs about him and would keep his thoughts to himself. 'There has been absolutely zero contact between them,' the source said. 'She did not run these songs by him, but he did not expect her to.' They continued, 'Joe has listened to the album, and he is slightly disappointed but not surprised at all. She didn't really trash him or defame him. Joe is not going to react to this.'"

Healy Reportedly Hasn't Listened To TTPD

Healy, meanwhile, commented that he hadn't listened to Swift's latest album.

"On Wednesday, Healy finally made some comments about Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department.' The singer was approached by a photographer who questioned him about 'his diss track' on the album and how he ranks it among the other 30 songs. Healy initially seemed confused by the question before finally answering that he had yet to 'listen' to his ex-girlfriend's new album. 'I haven't really listened to that much of it,' Healy said, per TMZ. 'But I'm sure it's good.' Swift's new album has several songs that fans have claimed directly shed light on her relationship with The 1975 frontman."

Swift And Kelce Still Going Strong

Swift, meanwhile, has rebounded yet again with football star Travis Kelce. The two are still going strong since first being linked in September of 2023.
