‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ to Stream in December

Taylor Swift fans rejoice: The Eras Tour movie is coming to streaming.

Swift’s epic concert movie will be available to rent on demand starting Dec. 13, and the extended streaming version will include three bonus songs not seen in theaters: “Wildest Dreams,” “The Archer” and “Long Live.”

The singer made the announcement herself Monday morning on X (formerly Twitter), writing to her fans that the film will be available to stream on her birthday.

“Hi! Well, so, basically I have a birthday coming up and I was thinking a fun way to celebrate the year we’ve had together would be to make The Eras Tour Concert Film available for you to watch at home!” she wrote. “Very happy to be able to tell you that the extended version of the film including ‘Wildest Dreams,’ ‘The Archer’ and ‘Long Live’ will be available to rent on demand in the US, Canada & additional countries to be announced soon starting on … you guessed it, December 13.”

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Extended Version), in partnership with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, will be exclusively available on digital platforms in the U.S. and Canada where you can rent movies, including on Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Vudu, Xfinity, and YouTube & Google TV. Additional countries for release will be announced soon.

The news comes after Swift wrapped the 2023 run of her record-breaking global Eras Tour on Sunday night in Brazil.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour also had a record-breaking run in AMC theaters as the top-grossing concert film of all time in North America. It became the first concert film in history to cross the $100 million mark domestically and the first independently released film in a decade to do so in only two weekends. The concert pic, which was self-financed by Swift, has since cleared $165 million domestically.

The film lets audiences experience Swift’s Eras Tour concert and was filmed over three Los Angeles shows at SoFi Stadium. The Hollywood Reporter‘s TV critic Angie Han wrote in her review that each segment of the movie, which corresponds to nine of Swift’s albums, “feels like a mini-concert on its own, complete with its own visual language.”

During her tour, her new album 1989 (Taylor’s Version), a rerecording of her 1989 album, broke records as the top-selling album in America in under one week.

Taylor Swift (2006) and Reputation (2017) are the two albums remaining from her catalog that have yet to get rerecorded versions. Though fans had been speculating about an announcement on the latter, Swift wrapped her tour without an update on the anticipated rerecording of her sixth studio album.
