Taylor Swift has a loyal legion of fans who gobble up her music quickly like a Thanksgiving turkey. And since the holidays are officially upon us what better time than now to release some new music for the masses? That appears to be the speculation now with Swifties all over the globe wondering if Taylor, who recently released a duet with pop star Shawn Mendes, is about to give the world the greatest gift in the form of a brand new Christmas album just in time for the holidays.

According to Perez Hilton after Taylor returned from an excursion to Japan she posted a tired selfie with the following caption;
“According to my jet lag it is one hundred o clock celsius.”
Though this caption sounds innocent enough it didn't take long for some fans to wonder if Taylor was perhaps throwing her hat into the ring to become the new Queen of Christmas by de-throning Mariah Carey with new material set specifically for the Yuletide season. Thinking that she had the answer on lock one Twitter user believed she had the inside track on exactly what Taylor was saying by tweeting out this;
“Taylor ‘one hundred o’clock celcius’
100 celcius is 212 Fahrenheit2/12 = 2nd December@taylorswift13 @taylornation13F--KING CHRISTMAS ALBUM?! Confirm.”
Could Taylor be preparing her fans for an upcoming release in a few weeks of holiday treats for their ears? Some got an inkling of impending new Taylor tunes after she dropped the remix for her song 'Lover' with Shawn Mendes. Mendes even took to his Twitter to personally thank Taylor for allowing him to be a part of her musical magic.
Taylor has yet to reveal any plans for new music, though it wouldn't be strange to think she's not about to drop something new soon. Plus, many fans are taking the Christmas music rumor and running away with it like bargain-basement deals on Black Friday. One Twitter user wrote;
"So... remember when Taylor said the Christmas tree was an Easter egg? It might be because of the rumored Christmas album. We thought it was because "we could leave the Christmas lights up till January" but... They're was already a Lover Easter egg, so... idk TS8 COMING 🎄"
Many of her fans are now losing their minds at the thought of having a brand new CHRISTMAS themed album. Even those that are already sick of Christmas music.
As far as Taylor is concerned she's remaining tight lipped about any of her new music plans. However, after the remix to 'Lover' dropped on Wednesday morning she did take to her Instagram page to shout Shawn out for being a part of the project.
"Well guys it finally happened: WE DID A COLLABORASHAWN. Sending out a whole entire THANKS BUDDY to @shawnmendes rn -I’m so stoked that our remix of Lover is out NOW!"
