Taylor Swift dancer confirms new routine was inspired by Chiefs’ Travis Kelce

When it comes to the things international singing sensation Taylor Swift does, there is no such thing as a coincidence.
Lyrics to Swift’s songs often reference boyfriends, whether it’s her current squeeze, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, or an ex-beau. Swift’s outfits are chosen with care, and even the choreography at her concerts has meaning.
During the “Eras Tour” in Paris, backup dancers had routines that were inspired by Kelce’s touchdown celebrations and the Chiefs’ “Swag Surfin’” anthem from the 2023 season.
Here’s an example.

Swift’s fans learned a long, long time ago to keep an eye out for such details. That’s how they came to notice that the dancers also were performing moves that Swift had made at Chiefs games. This kind of detail is crazy.

Remember that special handshake Swift broke out with Brittany Mahomes during the Chiefs’ win over the Chargers last October at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium? No worries if you don’t, but it’s part of the show, too.

Now, the skeptics out there might say this is indeed a coincidence. Or perhaps argue that it’s impossible to prove the intent behind the dance moves.
But one of the dancers at Swift’s concerts confirmed the routines are what fans say they are. At least the ones inspired by Kelce. And if those are what fans believed them to be, there’s no reason to think the others are simply an accident.
A fan shared these responses on social media from dancer Natalie Peterson, who acknowledged the inspiration for the choreography.
