Taylor Swift Announces She Is Bringing the Eras Tour Concert Film Worldwide

The concert film is set to premiere in theaters globally on Oct. 13

The wait is finally over for international fans awaiting their chance to get a glimpse at all of the highlights from Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour.

The singer, 33, announced Tuesday that Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Concert Film — which she revealed last month would be coming to theaters across the U.S. starting Oct. 13 — will also be premiering worldwide.

“The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide…….. 🌎,” Swift wrote on Instagram announcing the news. “Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13!”

The “theatrical concert experience” will bring the critically-acclaimed tour to international fans months before they get the chance to witness Swift's Eras Tour in real life.

In her announcement for the U.S. premiere of the film, Swift said, “The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far,” adding that she’s “overjoyed to tell you that it’ll be coming to the big screen soon.”

She also encouraged fans to bring the same energy and enthusiasm that they brought to the stadium to the theater. “Eras attire, friendship bracelets, singing and dancing encouraged,” the singer wrote in her Instagram post.

Within 24 hours of announcing the film, ticket sales broke AMC’s U.S. record for single-day sales, according to a press release.

“With such overwhelming demand being evident, it became obvious that there should be an immediate worldwide release of the film,” the press release said.

The concert film will premiere in more than 100 countries worldwide, per the release, including at every ODEON Cinemas location throughout Europe. AMC is working to reach agreements with other international theaters to premiere the film starting Oct. 13.

As of now, tickets are available for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Concert Film in theaters across the country with showtimes slated for Oct. 13 through Nov. 5. It is unknown whether more dates will be announced in the future.

The concert movie is set to run for 2 hours and 40 minutes, according to AMC. This is noticeably not as long as an actual Eras Tour concert, which runs for more than 3 hours and 15 minutes. If the film's runtime is accurate, certain elements of the performance will potentially be cut.

Swift kicked off the Eras Tour in Arizona in March and embarked on a 35-show run that she concluded in Los Angeles in August. She’s since done a four-show stretch in Mexico City, which marked her first time headlining shows in the country.

The "Anti-Hero" singer took a two month break from touring following the four sold-out shows in Mexico and will close out the 2023 dates of the tour in Argentina and Brazil in November.

Swift will take another few months off for the holidays and pick things back up in February 2024 in Tokyo before hitting major cities across Asia, Australia and Europe through August 2024.

She’ll close out the Eras Tour with a final round of U.S. shows in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis and Toronto, kicking off Oct. 18 and wrapping Nov. 23.

Aside from the Eras Tour concert film and a string of shows left this year, Swifties have even more to look forward to before the end of 2023.

Swift is releasing her latest rerecord, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), on Oct. 27. The star called it her “most FAVORITE re-record” yet as she teased that the five vault tracks “are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind.”

After an internet-crashing challenge on Google, the five vault tracks have since been announced: “Slut!”, "Is It Over Now?," "Now That We Don't Talk," "Say Don't Go" and "Suburban Legends."

Swift added in her reveal that “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th.”
