The 2024 concert calendar in South Florida has plenty of highs: We are finally getting local concerts by Taylor Swift and Madonna, and we’ll also see The Eagles say farewell with The Long Goodbye tour. Take it easy, guys.

But as things stand now the Rolling Stones aren’t coming (they play Orlando July 10), nor Morgan Wallen (Tampa July 11-12) or Nicki Minaj (Orlando March 22). And Aerosmith’s farewell concert in Sunrise, scheduled for last October but postponed by Steven Tyler’s throat issues, still has not been given a new date.

Here’s a look, in chronological order, at the best concerts scheduled so far in South Florida in 2024. More than likely, I’ve left out your favorite performer (apologies to fans of Niall Horan, Luis Miguel, Judy Collins, Journey and Rod Stewart), and you’ll dismiss this list as the work of an “idiot.” My wife, a Journey fan, would concur.

Elvis Costello & The Imposters: One of rock’s great wordsmiths and his band, joined by highly regarded guitarist Charlie Sexton, bring their 7-0-7 Tour to the Fillmore Miami Beach at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12. Tickets start at $64+ at LiveNation.com.

Travis Scott:The rapper and singer is in the final weeks of his Circus Maximus Tour, which supports the 2023 release “Utopia,” Grammy nominated for best rap album at the awards ceremony scheduled for Feb. 4. Scott performs at 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Tickets start at $35+ at Ticketmaster.com.

Willie Nelson:The seemingly super-human American music icon, recently saluted on a CBS TV special celebrating his 90th birthday, returns to the Pompano Beach Amphitheater at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9. It’s a sellout (nice job, South Florida), with resale options starting at $80+ at Ticketmaster.com.

Stevie Nicks:This tour of songs and storytelling from the beloved Fleetwood Mac songbird has charmed audiences and critics across the country. A Consequence of Sound reviewer wrote: “At points throughout the evening, especially during the psychedelic coda of a particularly intense rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Gold Dust Woman,’ she appeared possessed, enraptured.” Nicks performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hotel & Casino Hollywood. Resale tickets start at around $500+ each for a pair at MyHRL.com.

The Eagles: The iconic band will bring “The Long Goodbye” farewell tour, with special guests Steely Dan, to Hard Rock Live for performances March 1-2. Some tickets remain for both shows, starting at $506+, at MyHRL.com.

New Country 103.1 Rib Roundup:The engaging Lainey Wilson will be joined by rising stars Nate Smith and Warren Zeiders when the annual celebration of country music and grilled meat returns to iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on Saturday, March 2. Tickets start at $49.40+ as part of a lawn four-pack at LiveNation.com.

Olivia Rodrigo:The evocative young songwriter and singer is nominated for six awards at the upcoming Grammys, including best album (“GUTS”) and song of the year (“Vampire”). She’ll bring her world tour to the Kaseya Center in Miami on Wednesday, March 6. The show is currently sold out, but check Ticketmaster.com for updates.

Jazz in the Gardens:The long-running party returns to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens March 9-10, and acts announced so far include Maxwell, Babyface, Scarface and Jeezy, with more to come. Tickets start at $186+ for a general-admission two-day pass, with several levels of VIP access also available. Visit JazzInTheGardens.com.

Drake: The artist who requires no introduction returns to South Florida with the sequel to his popular summer-fall It’s All a Blur Tour (50 arena dates, all sold out, including two nights at the Kaseya Center in Miami). His two concerts at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on Saturday, March 23, and Sunday, March 24, also are sellouts, with resale tickets a little under $200+ at AmerantBankArena.com. Note: J. Cole is performing on some of Drake’s 2024 dates, but not in Sunrise.

Juanes:The rock songwriter, singer and guitarist is a talent that transcends language and borders, and his performance on Saturday, March 30, at Hard Rock Live will conclude the North American tour for “Vida Cotidiana,” a deeply personal 2023 release that Rolling Stone called his “best, most soulful album yet.” Tickets for the concert start at $75+ at MyHRL.com.

Tortuga Music Festival:The wildly popular hoedown by the ocean returns to Fort Lauderdale Beach Park April 5-7 with headliners Lainey Wilson, Hardy and Jason Aldean, along with Old Dominion, Bailey Zimmerman, Ashley McBryde, Koe Wetzel, TLC, Boys II Men, Bret Michaels, Michael Franti and Spearhead, and many more. Three-day general-admission passes start at $335+, $510+ for the three-day GA+ pass, a new option that includes access to the GA+ Lounge, a separate bar, air-conditioned restrooms and other amenities. VIP passes cost $1,549+ and Super VIP access is $2,369+. Visit TortugaMusicFestival.com.

Madonna:When Madonna postponed her greatest-hits Celebration Tour last summer — her team cited an infection that required hospitalization — some saw it as a prelude. The 65-year-old singer, who battled a balky knee in her last South Florida concert in 2019, would soon no longer be a performer who could command an arena. Well, not so fast. From Europe to Brooklyn, where Madonna kicked off the North American leg of the tour at the Barclays Center on Dec. 13, reviewers have raved. Madonna performs at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, with tickets starting at $110+ for Saturday’s show and $90+ on Sunday. Visit Ticketmaster.com.

Social Distortion/Bad Religion:The two iconic bands will fill downtown Fort Lauderdale with classic punk sounds during an outdoor concert at Revolution Live on Saturday, April 27. Mike Ness (recovering from tonsil cancer treatment that postponed the band’s 2023 tour) and Social D will perform their 1983 debut “Mommy’s Little Monster” in its entirety. Tickets start at $52.50 at JoinThe Revolution.net.

SunFest:The long-running, eclectic-minded festival will return to the waterfront in downtown West Palm Beach May 3-5. No word yet on performers, but we have faith. Tickets start at $120+ for a three-day pass, $70 for ages 6-12, with several VIP options also available. Visit SunFest.com.

Chris Stapleton:We’re coming up on a decade since the album “Traveler” announced Stapleton as a songwriter of special talents. But the dizzying arc of his career still seems a little surprising. He’ll perform Thursday, May 9, at iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre on the tour supporting his new album, “Higher,” co-produced by the great Dave Cobb and one of Stepleton’s best. Grace Potter and Nikki Lane are the opening acts. Tickets are sold out, but there are resale options at LiveNation.com.

Kenny Chesney:After years of watching Chesney as a recurring headliner at Fort Lauderdale’s Tortuga Music Festival (including a rain-marred set in 2023), it’s going to feel a little strange seeing him in the chic confines of Hard Rock Live. I believe shoes and shirts are mandatory. Chesney will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Hollywood venue. Tickets start at $205+ at MyHRL.com.

Bad Bunny:The Puerto Rican rapper, singer and pop idol has three concerts at the Kaseya Center in Miami on May 24-26, which is nothing for an artist who sold out Hard Rock Stadium twice in 2022. All of the cheap seats are gone, and resellers are asking for a couple hundred dollars in the upper deck. Visit Ticketmaster.com.

Red Hot Chili Peppers:Perhaps the ultimate outdoor summer band, the Chili Peppers bring their Unlimited Love Tour to iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on Tuesday, June 18. Lawn seats (the best way to see them) start at $100+ at LiveNation.com.

Blink-182: The revitalized ’90s punk icons will play Miami’s Kaseya Center on Friday, June 21, on a world tour supporting the album “One More Time,” which marked the first time in a decade that Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker had been in the studio together. Pierce the Veil is the opening act. Tickets start at $45.25+ at Ticketmaster.com.

Zach Bryan: The revered country singer and songwriter brings the Quittin Time Tour to Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on Monday, July 22. Opening acts include The War and Treaty and Levi Turner. Tickets start at $141+ at SeatGeek.com.

Alanis Morissette:Coming to iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on Thursday, June 20, The Triple Moon Tour pairs Morissette with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, which has all kinds of fun potential. Tickets start at $32.43+ as part of a lawn four-pack at LiveNation.com.

Taylor Swift:The pop-culture phenomenon will close out her dazzling, career-changing Eras Tour with three final stops next fall, including three nights at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on Oct. 18-20. These shows sold out within minutes of going on sale last summer. Visit TaylorSwift.com.

P!nk: The pop-rocker’s expanded Summer Carnival Tour returns to South Florida (two November concerts drew headlines for her distribution of banned books) on Saturday Nov. 23 in a unique setting, the Miami Marlins’ loanDepot Park. Also performing will be Sheryl Crow. Tickets for the concert start at $79.95+ at Ticketmaster.com.

Country Bay Music Festival:The country festival made its debut in November with a strong lineup that included headliners Thomas Rhett and Sam Hunt, along with Lainey Wilson, Chris Young, Lee Brice, Elle King and more. The 2024 festival is scheduled for Nov. 9-10 at Miami Marine Stadium. Visit CountryBayMusicFestival.com.
