A few weeks ago, Taylor Lautner and his wife, Taylor Lautner, completed the Taylor triple crown when they went to see Taylor Swift's Eras tour.
Adorably, Taylor's wife Taylor (who will be called Tay in the rest of this post for clarity) has always been a massive Taylor Swift fan, even though she's her husband's high-profile ex, so the fact that they're all friends now is pretty special.
And on an aptly titled recent episode of their podcast The Squeeze, called "Taylor's Version," the Taylors Lautner opened up about their friendship with Taylor Swift.
Naturally, during the conversation, Taylor Swift's song "Back to December" came up. In case you need a refresher, the song is a sweet tribute to Taylor Lautner and is widely known as one of her only extremely positive songs about an ex.
Needless to say, it was fascinating to hear Taylor and Tay discuss "Back to December" so openly. First, Tay posed the question to Taylor, "How does it feel to be one of the few with a positive song?"
"Horrible, I hate it," Taylor said jokingly. "I'm kidding. It feels great." And Tay elaborated about the song, saying, "It's also just a testament to you as a human. You are that human that she talks about. You are so kind (laughs), I'm not going to be quoting the lyrics..."
And then Taylor jokingly ended up quoting the lyrics himself:
Tay called the song a banger (and Taylor agreed: "It is a banger!"), and then she went on to talk about her own feelings about the song, considering it's about her now-husband. "It’s a good song," she said. "It’s a nice song, I also like that it’s the one nice song that is about my husband. So that’s good. I also probably sang it as an 11- or 12-year-old probably crying about a boy that I liked. ... Like singing it with such conviction."
Later in the conversation, Taylor talked about what it was like introducing his wife to his ex. "It was great," he said. "I know on paper it sounds like a tough situation, but not once was I ever worried about it, because we’re confident in our relationship. Tay’s the coolest, chillest person ever and she also is a die-hard fan of that person. And blonde girl Tay is the sweetest human being on Earth, so it kind of was just a perfect situation."
There haven't been many punters drafted in the fourth round or higher like Tory Taylor just was. Chicago's No. 1 overall pick welcomed him in unique fashion.
The NFL will allow players to wear protective Guardian Caps during games beginning with the 2024 season. The caps were previously mandated for practices.
Atlanta Falcons first-round draft pick Michael Penix Jr. said quarterback Kirk Cousins called him after he was picked No. 8 overall in one of the 2024 NFL Draft's more puzzling selections.
Tyrese Haliburton hit a floater with 1.1 seconds left in overtime to give the Indiana Pacers a 121–118 win over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Pacers lead their first-round playoff series two games to one.
