Milwaukee Tattoo Arts Festival

Scores of tattoo artists will be on hand for the 13th annual Milwaukee Tattoo Arts Festival at the Baird Center this weekend. Hours are 2 to 11 p.m. Oct. 6, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Oct. 7 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 8. Admission is $20, $40 for a three-day pass; kids younger than 12 get in free (but only those 18 and older can get a tattoo). Tattoos are extra. Info: villainarts.com.

Beet Street at Cactus Club

The Cactus Club's eighth annual Beet Street bash takes over South Wentworth Avenue in Bay View from Potter to Russell avenues starting at 2 p.m. Oct. 7. On the docket, among other things: a "punk rock rummage sale," a makers market, face painting, a juried pie contest, a music video showcase, and food and drink. Drink Wisconsinbly's Curd Fest

The fourth annual Curd Fest squeaks into Drink Wisconsinbly's Deer District spot at 320 W. Highland Ave. from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 7. Doings include a cheese curd eating contest, food trucks, polka music and yard games. Admission is $10 and includes curd samples. Info: Curd Fest 2023 Facebook event page.

HKE MKE

The Urban Ecology Center hosts HKE MKE, a community hike, from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 8. The 2.5-mile hike starts on the trail behind the center's Riverside Park building, 1500 E. Park Place, and goes along the Milwaukee River, with food, activities and more at the end of the trail. Tickets are $15 and $25 (the latter includes a shirt), $5 and $15 (with shirt) for kids. Wisconsin Antique Dealers Association Fall Show

More than 50 dealers will show (and sell) their stuff at the 72nd Wisconsin Antiques Dealers Association Fall Show & Sale in the Waukesha County Expo Center, 1000 Northview Road, Waukesha. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 6 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 7. Admission is $8; proceeds benefit grants for historical preservation projects in Wisconsin. Info: wisconsinantiquesdealers.com.
