Target apologizes for mistaken 'Minnesota Badgers' onesies: 'Color us red'
As the joke goes, no one goes to Target to get what they need. You go to Target, and the store tells you what you need.
Except this time, it missed the mark in its home state. Big time.
Target stores in Minneapolis featured a cute little maroon and gold onesie over the weekend that at quick glance would be perfect way to start the little one’s fandom. But the shirt reads “Minnesota Badgers,” combining the Big Ten rivals of the Minnesota Golden Gophers and Wisconsin Badgers.

Target, which was founded in Minneapolis and calls the Twin Cities home, apologized for the mistake.
"Color us red. As a Minnesota-based company, we know we are home to the Gophers,” the store said in a statement, via the Minnesota Star-Tribune. “We’ve worked with our vendor to remove this item and apologize to any sports fans who might have been left scratching their head.”
Target representatives told the Star-Tribune two of the onesies were purchased within the less than 24 hours they were available at four Twin Cities stores. The company said the remaining 22 were given back to the vendor.
