Tarek El Moussa's 3 Kids: All About Taylor, Brayden and Tristan

Tarek El Moussa has two kids with his ex-wife Christina Hall and one with wife Heather Rae El Moussa

Tarek El Moussa is known for flipping houses, but he's also busy with three kids — one being an infant!

Back in 2010, Tarek became a father for the first time when his then-wife Christina Hall gave birth to their daughter, Taylor Reese, 13. In 2015, the couple became parents again when they welcomed son Brayden James, 8. The HGTV stars split in 2016 (and finalized their divorce in 2018) but Tarek and Hall have remained devoted co-parents to their kids.

"The kids are the most important thing," Tarek told PEOPLE in October 2017. "If Mom and Dad can't get along it affects the kids, so Mom and Dad better get along."

Tarek welcomed his third baby, Tristan, with his wife, Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa in January 2023. The couple announced they were expecting in July 2022.

"I'm just obsessed with my kids. They're my everything, so having another one is just icing on the cake. I'm so excited," El Moussa told PEOPLE.

But the duo might not be done having kids. During a May 2023 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, Tarek and Heather spoke about undergoing IVF before conceiving Tristan. Heather explained that they still have embryos from the IVF process, noting that they "might have another baby."

Either way, Tarek is enjoying being a dad. In July 2023, he shared photos on Instagram of himself holding Tristan while lounging in the cabin of a plane. He paired the sweet photos with a lengthy caption about traveling to Cabo with "my whole family" and enjoying time with his kids.

"I know how quickly this time goes so taking in every moment before I blink and all of my kids are all grown up❤️," he wrote in part. "Been taking a lot of family vacations recently because at the end of the day, the work that I put in day in and day out means nothing without the people I love the most so spending quality time with them is a huge priority of mine."

Taylor El Moussa, 13

Taylor Reese El Moussa was born on Sept. 22, 2010, and has been in the public eye since she was in diapers. The blonde tot frequently appeared on her parents' renovation show Flip or Flop, which ran from 2013 to 2022.

Taylor has also appeared on Tarek and Hall's spin-off shows, Tarek's Flip Side and Christina on the Coast.

After so many years of watching her parents work on homes, Tarek has suggested that Taylor could follow in their real estate footsteps.

"I'm telling you ... Taylor rocks design!" he captioned a November 2020 photo of himself, Taylor and Hall on the set of Flip or Flop. "I'm so proud and excited for Taylor. She's such a brilliant little girl and she's full of life. I hope more than anything that she will be working by my side one day❤️."

Since then, Tarek and Hall have shared how their daughter is growing up and turning into a "real teenager."

In a July 2022 Instagram post, Tarek shared an adorable tribute to his daughter after announcing that he and Heather are expecting a baby boy, which will make Taylor a big sis to three brothers (in addition to Brayden and Hudson, Hall's 3-year-old son with ex Ant Anstead).

"The best big sister her soon-to-be brother could ask for ❤️ Tay remains the only girl in the EL Moussa family which is crazy to think she'll be the older sibling to three younger brothers!" he wrote along with a sweet snap of him and his daughter sitting together. "She may have some interesting times ahead of her with three younger brothers 😅🤣 but this girl can handle it 😎 Tay will always be my first born and daddy's little girl to me."

Later that summer, Hall posted her own sweet photo with the tween on Instagram.

"Mommy daughter shopping date 💟. The fact that we wear the same shoe size now is 😳," she captioned a photo of her and Taylor smiling. "Taylor turns 12 next month, pre-teen life is becoming real much too quick!!"

Taylor also seems to have a good relationship with her stepmom, Heather. On Jan. 17, 2023, The Selling Sunset star shared a sweet photo on Instagram featuring her hugging the pre-teen.

"Got so lucky with this one 🤍," the real estate agent wrote in the caption. "I met Tay when she was a little girl and the second I met her, I knew my life was going to change. She melted my heart. She opened her heart to me day one of meeting her. There was never an 'awkward' phase for us. Not everyone can understand the close relationship I have with the kids & that's fine, all that matters is how we feel."

"The kids made me want to have kids, I love my role as their bonus mom❤️," she added.

Brayden James El Moussa, 8

Tarek and Hall's second child, Brayden James, was born on Aug. 20, 2015, and has already developed several interests in his young life. "Bray wants to spend the whole day looking at sharks," Heather shared on Instagram in January 2022.

Tarek has also shared that the boy spends his time playing soccer, doing Jiu Jitsu and studying. In a sweet post from March 2022, the Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa star even called his son an inspiration, sharing a photo of himself smiling with Brayden and Heather at what appeared to be the boy's soccer game.

"I can't tell you all how proud I am of my little guy!!" Tarek captioned the Instagram post. "He's thriving in life, more than ever, and it's because of hard work."

He added, "As adults, we should really watch how hard our kids work and make sure we are working just as hard!"

In May 2022, Tarek and Hall revealed that Brayden underwent an emergency appendectomy. Hall posted a photo on Instagram of her son in a hospital bed. "Scary 12 hours for us parents + step parents," she wrote.

"After being admitted to the ER, Brayden had to have an emergency appendectomy as well as removal of Meckel's diverticulum early this morning," Hall continued, referring to an abnormality of the small intestine. "Nothing like seeing your child in excruciating pain 😣."

Hall concluded by assuring followers that "the surgery went well" and sharing that Brayden "is recovering and in good spirits."

Tarek shared his own Instagram post about the medical ordeal, describing it as a "very scary day," adding, "we all banned together as a family to get through it."

In January 2023, Tarek called Brayden a "mini" version of him.

"My mini… but better ❤️ I see a lot of myself in him already (I might be biased 😂) but seeing him and Tay grow into themselves more and more each year has been the greatest source of happiness. Nothing beats being a dad 🙏," he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo with his son.

Months later, the proud dad marked his son's 8th birthday with a sweet Instagram post. El Moussa shared cute photos of himself with his son, including a snap of the two posing in front of a cupcake tower.

"As you parents know, time flies and your kids grow fast! I can’t believe my big boy Bray is turning 8 today. It feels like yesterday I was negotiating with him over Binky’s🤣🤣🤣," the HGTV star wrote in the caption, adding that his family celebrated Brayden's birthday at Dave and Buster’s before going to a baseball game.

"Things keep getting better and better and our bond stronger and stronger," El Moussa continued. "I just love this kid❤️❤️❤️!"

Tristan Jay El Moussa, 1

Tarek and Heather welcomed their son on Jan. 31, 2023. The couple introduced their little one to the world with a joint Instagram post, but they didn't reveal his name or face at the time.

"Our baby boy is here," the TV stars wrote alongside an image of the infant being cradled by mom and dad. "Mama & baby are happy, healthy, tired but doing well. Our hearts are so happy ❤️."

The pair announced that they were expecting their first baby together in July 2022. The reality stars told PEOPLE that they were in the middle of in vitro fertilization when they received a happy surprise.

"It was a huge shock," Heather said. "We just weren't expecting this. We had just gone through IVF. We had embryos on ice. We had a plan." She continued of her pregnancy, "I think when you least expect it and there's no stress in your life, the world just brought us what was meant to be," she continued. "I'm so excited that it happened like this."

Two weeks after Heather and Tarek welcomed their baby boy, The Flippin' El Moussas stars' shared the baby's name: Tristan Jay El Moussa.

In an Instagram post, Heather explained that Tarek was originally supposed to be named Tristan and that Jay is also her dad's middle name.

The Selling Sunset star also opened up about her son's "scary" birth story. "We were at my final doctor appointment and our Dr. rushed us to the hospital to get monitored because Tristan's movements had slowed down," Heather recalled in her post.

She added, "Tristan's heart rate was dropping very low every time I'd push & was staying low. Which was terrifying."

Thankfully, Tristin was eventually born in stable condition. "Our baby boy came out healthy and beautiful," Heather wrote. "I was in a state of shock it was a surreal experience. I was emotional and drained & so in love already."

On March 6, 2023, Heather shared a cute photo on her Instagram Story of Tristan cuddling with Tarek. In the snap, the baby boy wore a gray swaddle sleep sack covered in white stars.

"Our little bear," the reality star wrote on top of the photo.

Heather and Tarek spoke about their baby boy during a May 2023 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. The couple recalled going through IVF before getting pregnant naturally. "I thought she was showing a covid test," Tarek recalled of the day he found out about the new addition. "It was a pregnancy test."

When host Jennifer Hudson said that Heather looked "so happy," she admitted, "I am happy. It's like a dream come true."

In an Instagram post Tarek shared in February 2024, he asked his followers if Tristan looked more like him or Heather after showing a photo of himself as a baby next to his little boy.

"@theheatherraeelmoussa swears Tristan looks like her, and I swear he looks like me! This is a side-by-side of my baby pic and Tristan! Are you seeing Mom? Dad? The pool guy 🤣🤣🤣!? I have money riding on this one so….😎," he wrote in the caption.
