Tarek El Moussa Reveals He Broke His Arm Before NYC Trip with Wife Heather

The HGTV star shows off his cast in a video on Instagram: “A broken arm can’t stop me!”

Tarek El Moussa is now in recovery mode.

The real estate investor and TV personality, 42, took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video of how he broke his arm before a trip to NYC with wife Heather El Moussa. The clip starts off showing Tarek lifting weights at the gym before cutting to a shot of him walking at the airport with his right arm in a cast.

“I woke up Monday morning feeling SO motivated and at the peak of my fitness game… and then 10 hours later life humbled my a** real quick. 🤣,” Tarek captioned the post. “But a broken arm can’t stop me! We’re here in NY for #ZetaLive23 and having a blast! Hope you guys are enjoying the incredible lineup of speakers as much as we are, and keep tuning in throughout the day for more. 💪🎉”

In his Instagram Stories, he uploaded another video of him at the airport, where Heather, 34, can be heard saying, “Welcome to New York.”

“Someone has a broken arm,” she says while filming her husband, who smiles and waves, before joking, “What are you going to wear tomorrow? You have to wear sweats. No, I’m kidding. Love you.”

“NY we here!! 🔥🔥,” Tarek wrote on the video. “Oh yeah, and did I mention I broke my arm this week? Incredible timing 🤣🤣”

Earlier this month, The Flipping El Moussas star announced his new book, FLIP YOUR LIFE: How to Find Opportunity in Distress—in Real Estate, Business, and Life, will be released in February 2024.

Along with sharing his real estate expertise, the HGTV star will be elaborating on how and why his path to success wasn’t easy.

In a press release, Tarek revealed his struggle with steroids after a diagnosis of testicular and thyroid cancer. He also opened up about his problems with alcohol and his “very public” divorce from HGTV costar Christina Hall, following their split in 2016.

“I’ve been working on this book for 7 years now, and I can’t wait for you to read my personal journey on how I found success, and how I got to where I am today,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a video preview of FLIP YOUR LIFE. “This book has been a long time coming, and I’m so proud to share my personal story with you!”
