"He woke up and kissed my legs," she remembered. "He used to kiss whatever body part was sticking out of the sheets. And then I got a phone call from him from the hockey rink -- he's there, dressing up, you know, getting ready to play hockey -- and he's like, 'Honey! I'll be home between 6 and 7. How about some chicken tonight with extra gravy and lots of TV and a little sex?' And I was like, 'Deal, I'll see you at 6!'"

"So I start preparing to go to the market, and then I get a phone call that something's wrong with Alan and I need to drive down to L.A.," she continued.

Though she was worried, Tanya didn't recognize the gravity of the situation until she arrived at the hospital.

"I knew something was really, really wrong when we pulled up to the curb -- I pulled up to the curb -- and there was a spiritual worker there -- a spiritual guidance person with a Bible -- and, when I saw her standing there, my heart sank. I remember dropping my water bottle, and my heart sank to my stomach."

In addition to explaining her rollercoaster of emotions that day, Tanya revealed how the doctors informed her that her husband of 11 years had died.

"When the doctors were explaining what happened to him, and I'm listening and he says, 'I'm sorry to tell you, Mrs. Thicke, but your husband has expired.' And I was like, 'What?!'"

It was later revealed the Alan Thicke died of a ruptured aorta during surgery three hours after suffering a heart attack while playing hockey. Watch Tanya Thicke's interview in the video at the top of the page.
