All About Tamron Hall's Season 5 Talk Show Style from the Host Herself (Exclusive)

“I love challenging the status quo with fashion,” Hall tells PEOPLE of her eye-catching on-air style

Daytime talk show Tamron Hall returned for a fifth season on September 5, and in the iconic words of Hall herself: “Tam Fam, are you ready?”

The veteran journalist serves as both host and executive producer of the nationally syndicated show, which debuted in 2019 and last season averaged 1.1 million viewers each day. (Visit tamronhallshow.com for local air times and stations follow the show on social media @TamronHallShow.)

Hall’s conversations with guests deliver motivating, moving, must-see moments. Her loyal Tam Fam is also captivated by her eye-catching fashion. And this season, Hall is sharing highlights of her outfits each week exclusively with PEOPLE.

“I love challenging the status quo with fashion,” Hall tells PEOPLE. “My style doesn’t fit into an age box, a ‘this is what I am supposed to wear’ box, or a ‘this is how women on TV in daytime dress box.’”

As for what to expect this year, Hall says season five “represents freedom. I am free to wear what I feel comfortable wearing. Maxi dress to mini. We get to determine our individual fashion journey. I love that energy. I love when I see other people, especially women, own their personal look. It inspires me.”

“This is our season to have even more fun with fashion. No rules, no restrictions. It’s part of the story, so let’s talk about it.”

WEEK 28: Spot-On Style

“Our Alice + Olivia polka dot ensemble was a little wink and nod to the much-talked-about and magnificent solar eclipse,” Hall says of the short-sleeve top and wide-leg pants. Dazzle Jewelry & Co. Lindsay Silver Hoop Earrings added another celestial layer to this out-of-this-world look. “They had a small round orb in the middle resembling either the moon or the sun.”

WEEK 28: Star in Stripes

Hall suited up in this Monse sleeveless jacket and pinstripe joggers, Renee Caovilla metallic crystal mesh caged sandals and Tabetha's Closet Curve earrings. “These earrings are ones I'm obsessed with. We adore hoops around here, and these were deconstructed hoops to complement a deconstructed suit.” Of her shoes, Hall adds they’re “favorites around here; we first wore them in season two.”

WEEK 28: Heavy Metal

Hall accessorized this linen Karibu print Johanna Ortiz robe with a standout  metal Haney belt. “I swapped the belt that came with the linen robe and paired it with this metallic one I've had for probably 15 years to dress it up a bit,” Hall shares. The talk show host, who completed the look with Tom Ford chain heel leather sandals, says she loves this all-occasion garment. “You could wear it as a funky lightweight coat over a T-shirt and jeans or cut-off denim shorts for a funkier Coachella vibe. You could even use it as a swimsuit cover,” she says.

WEEK 27: Fit to Print

"I love this fun two-piece outfit for our show about over-the-top showers, including baby showers, wedding showers, and engagement parties,” Hall says.

She paired the Ramy Brook two-piece covered in a rose watercolor print with large gunmetal beaded hoop earrings and gold metallic Aquazzura stiletto heels.

“I thought this ensemble, which can be worn separately, would be a smart buy. We can use both the pants and top later. That's the luxury of a two-piece.”

WEEK 27: Spring Has Sprung

“I love the flirty nature of this dress,” Hall says of this Etro look. With it’s sheer balloon sleeves and floral print, the kaftan minidress helps her ease into spring dressing. It’s also versatile. “I could pair this with boots, or I could put on a pair of flats and a denim jacket to give it streetwear feel.

She accessorized with clip-on Jennifer Miller earrings, a Dazzle Jewelry & Co. ring and her “favorite” Alaïa Bombe sandals. “They were definitely a splurge, but I've worn them more times than I can count.”

Her No. 1 shopping tip: “Whether it’s a black dress, jacket, or even a black shoe — I always tell the team to look for texture,” Hall says.

WEEK 27: Here Comes the Sun

“This yellow dress was specific in its intention. We're having a joyous conversation — an exclusive daytime conversation with Jennifer Lewis — talking about her near-death experience and the joy she has found in the refocus she's found in life,” Hall shares of this taffeta Carolina Herrera balloon dress with a matching belt. “I felt that [it] was a beautiful way to celebrate where she is now and her empowering message.

Stone-embellished Jennifer Miller Double Circle Drop Earrings and Prada T-strap black suede sandals (from her personal collection) added extra sparkle.

WEEK 26: Tangerine Dream

The talk show host rocked this orange suit on the first day of spring. She paired the Stella McCartney blazer and trousers with a Dolce & Gabbana chantilly lace corset with a sweetheart neckline, Tom Ford heels and Dazzle Jewelry & Co. hoop earrings. The vivid fit, she says, “was worn on the heels of our show all about how color can affect your mood, outlook on life, and even determine if you get the interview or date you want.”

WEEK 26: Fringe Benefits

Hall paired a tweed Balmain racerback minidress with a hint of fringe and gold buttons with Jennifer Miller drop earrings and sparkly multicolor strap heeled sandals from ASOS that she’s had 15 years. “I felt that this was a fresh, fun look for a show that featured our dear friend Keenan Thompson, who often brings great joy, and in honor of Kess, one of our most popular musical guests,” Hall says.

WEEK 26: Springtime State of Mind

She loved the “flowy, easy, but modern” feel of this floral Giambattista Valli maxi dress with cap sleeves and a ruched skirt which she accessorized with clear lucite Alexis Bittar hoops and black and pointed toe Manolo Blahnik stilettos.

WEEK 25: Maximum Glam

Wearing this La DoubleJ floral-print maxi dress with an ostrich feather trim “was a huge hit with the audience,” Hall says. Pale pink Gianvito Rossi heels “blended in with the busy outfit,” Hall explains, adding, “That's always one of my tips.” She completed the look with large white lucite Dazzle Jewelry & Co. hoops.

WEEK 25: Suits Her Well

"I love this deconstructed suit,” Hall says of these Sacai pieces. “My serious journalist days in the field are probably behind me, but this is a fun way to still wear a suit.” Jennifer Miller hoops added a pop of color. She also wore a lucite Alexis Bittar ring (on her left hand) and a large square pink quartz JLANI cocktail ring (on her right hand) and rounded out the look with metallic gunmetal studded Dolce & Gabbana stilettos.

WEEK 25: Gem of a Dress

This “very dainty yet powerful” emerald Erdem number featured an A-line skirt with scalloping along the hem. Hall paired it with brushed gold Nest earrings a JLANI ring on her right hand and vintage pale orange Guiseppe Zannotti sandals from her closet. The talk show host previously told PEOPLE that green is one of her “favorite” colors. Now she shares that green and orange are one of her go-to combos.

WEEK 25: Sweet Set

“This Generation Love knit top and skirt set is easing me into spring,” she says. Hall’s especially fond of the cropped sweater’s “fun” neckline. White resin Jennifer Miller earrings and clear PVC sandals added a touch of edge.

WEEK 24: Fresh Fit

"These pants are absolutely stunning. The petunia floral pattern is exquisite. I love them,” Hall says of the Christopher John Rogers bottoms, which she paired with an asymmetrical, lace-up top by the designer. Ettika and Jennifer Miller jewelry, plus Tom Ford frayed white denim heels added even more flair. “I thought it was a very funky and fresh outfit to complement our diverse tasting table of culture,” she says.

WEEK 24: Spring-y Pieces

Hall calls this pleated, floral print Marni skirt set "very special. I chose it because it matches the color of my new book, “Watch Where They Hide,’” she explains. “So, this was a little love letter to my new mystery novel and the color scheme I selected for the cover.”

Hall also “loves” her new cutout, mirrored-leather Aquazzura pumps. “I feel like they are a very versatile silver shoe that you can wear with numerous looks, even a great pair of jeans and a blazer. It's a very dainty yet edgy shoe." She also accessorized with Daniela Swaebe earrings.

WEEK 24: Gem of a Set

"I thought it was a perfect choice for our iconic show featuring the legendary Angela Bassett [who complimented Hall on the look!]. The details on the sleeve and the pants add a dramatic, glamorous flair to what would normally be a very basic black suit."

Hall wore The Attico’s strass-embellished blazer jacket with curved sleeves and straight-leg pants, as well as a Wolford bodysuit, towering Christian Loutoubin black velour pumps and Alessandra Rich earrings.

WEEK 23: Garden Party-Ready

The talk show host paired Hutch’s Eden gown, which featured a square neckline and high-low hem, with an Alaïa three quarter-length sleeve, laser-cut cropped cardigan, Christian Louboutin Pigalle white spiked stiletto pumps and Jennifer Miller jewelry.

"These vintage spike heels add a little edge to this very feminine dress. The same goes for the cardigan. The different texture allows it to make what is a very dainty dress a little edgier."

WEEK 23: Flock to It

"My favorite look of the week was this,” Hall shares of the La Double J Make an Exit top and Palazzo pants. “You can wear them separately or together.” She did the latter, and accessorized with Dazzle Jewelry & Co. earrings and pale pink Gianvito Rossi heels.

“It’s no secret I'm a fan of feathers. I think they just add such a cool, vintage vibe to this outfit. We jokingly said it's reminiscent of Mrs. Roper from 'Three's Company,' but it's also very current."

WEEK 23: Relaxed to the Max

Hall channeled “understated luxury” in a Sylvia Tcherassi silk set with a golden peony print, plus Alesandra Rich white cubic zirconia square clip-on earrings with black square-cut stones and Saint Laurent thin strap gold glitter stilettos. "Sylvia is one of my favorite designers,” Hall says. “Her style is very chic, effortless, and easy."

WEEK 23: Floral Flow

“This is a very fun Ted Baker suit,” Hall says of this single-breasted blazer and slim-fitting trousers, which she wore over a cobalt blue Intimissimi deep V-neck camisole with a lace trim. “It's interesting, and it's playful. It offers a unique spin on what would normally be a conservative look.” The cropped pants are especially exciting. “They say 'suit,' but they also say ‘I'm fun,’” Hall adds. The bold ensemble didn’t stop her from rocking a few accessories. She chose Jennifer Miller Double Circle Drop earrings and Gianvito Rossi Jaipur metallic leather pumps in purple.

WEEK 22: Check Her Out

This Lisou skirt set checked all of Hall’s fashion boxes that day. “I adore the fresh brown and pink print. I think this combination is a perfect transition from winter to spring. And, who doesn't love a good pocket?” The talk show host also wore Alexis Bittar lucite molten clear hoop earrings and metallic rose gold Christian Louboutin sandals.

WEEK 22: An Eye for Style

Hall says that when she looked closely at this multicolor sequin Sergio Hudson bodysuit, “I thought it was beautiful, and, that it looked like eyeballs! It made me think of my new novel, ‘Watch Where They Hide,’ so I wore this top as a cheeky reminder that I have a new book coming out.

Her lambskin leather balloon trousers with slit ankle cuffs from Loewe, she says, “are a staple for us.” She paired the fit with vintage green suede Gucci pumps and a pair of Dazzle Jewelry & Co. earrings “that everyone love” as well as a Givenchy G-chain gold ring.

WEEK 22: Pretty in Pink

For the show’s Comedy Hour, Hall chose this “fun and flirty” look. “It’s actually a playsuit,” she reveals. The tweed Maje design, she adds, was a “sweet” piece that “fits into our [theme], where we celebrate female comics in a cheeky way.”

She paired it with Dazzle Jewelry & Co. earrings, a Love and Mercy ring and white leather Alexander McQueen ankle booties.

WEEK 21: Love-ly Suit

"Kicking off our week of love, I thought this red crystal pantsuit was a very fun and strong way to celebrate all those looking for love,” Hall said of this scarlett Area suit with embellished lapels, which they borrowed from the Albright Fashion Library. “It's a dramatic suit fitting for a dramatic topic – there's a lot of drama in the search for love." They paired the fit with a SKIMS bandeau in black, Saint Laurent heels and ETTIKA Crystal Drape Fringe earrings in clear.

WEEK 21: Not So Mellow Yellow

This yellow bouclé dress from Alessandra Rich “screams summer,” Hall says. Ironically, she happened to wear it on New York City’s first big winter storm of 2024! The host paired the mini with brown stiletto booties from Christian Louboutin “that I've had for about 12 years,” she shares. “I always tell people to lean into the bootie. It gives this outfit a fresh, more youthful look than a pump would have." For her accessories, she chose Dazzle Jewelry & Co.’s multicolor floral wreath drop earrings and a jumbo Ginette NY cocktail ring with smoky quartz.

WEEK 21: Bold Coat

For the host’s Love Language Valentine's Day show, she wore a floral oversize Moschino coat from the label’s spring 2018 ready-to-wear collection over Wolford’s Fatal Velvet Tube Dress in soft cherry. “I wanted to look like I was wrapped in love,” she says.

Hall adds that the look, which she accessorized with a large square red quartz  JLANI cocktail ring, Love and Mercy’s oval Around the Way Glam earrings and red suede Marskinryyppy heels “spoke to the moment.”

“We wanted to have fun on this day and give our audience their flowers, which we did with a huge giveaway show."

WEEK 19: Blinged Out

For the return of Hall’s Up & Coming Designer series, the talk show started off the week with some sparkle. “Here, I’m wearing a dress by an up-and-coming designer, Roneisha Starks. She designed and created this dress completely by hand. It’s adorned with intricate beadwork and these amazing cascading feathers.”

WEEK 19:

“This look was created by another of our up-and-coming designers, Zoe Grinfeld,” Hall says, adding that the oversize blazer was made from vintage wool. “The coolest part is that it’s magnetic,” says the talk show host of the design. “Two pieces in the front and the board in the back and can function as an actual checkerboard.”

WEEK 18: Model Host

Hall struck a pose in a ribbed-knit merino wool Monse dress with floral-lace, silver zippers and an asymmetrical hem. “This is one of my favorite designers. They take a simple thing like a sweater dress and turn it into a moment. The detail of the lace hidden underneath the zipper is a classic characteristic of their brand. You never know what you're going to get,” she says.

The talk show host paired the “fresh and edgy” design with white gold Jennifer Miller hoops with tanzanite stones and a floral ring by the brand, as well as a rose gold Pandora band, plus black suede Walter Steiger flame-trim d’Orsay pumps.

WEEK 18:

With Luenell Campbell paying another visit, Hall chose “this beautiful purple Maticevski dress” because “I happen to know that Luenell is a huge Prince fan, so the purple was a wink and a nod to her love of Prince.”

Featuring draping, ruching at the stomach and billowy sleeveless, this stretch-jersey midi dress “is one of my favorites this season – I love it all,” says Hall, who paired the look with Alaïa Bombe black patent leather t-strap sandals, and large gold Dazzle Jewelry & Co. hoops with purple and turquoise beading detail. She also upped the sparkle on her left hand by wearing an 18k gold-plated stainless-steel JLANI ring with a purple stone in addition to her engagement and wedding rings.

WEEK 17: Shining Star

"This outfit illustrates that it is indeed possible to wear silver and gold together,” says Hall. The host wore an archival silver metallic Tom Ford blazer with a peak lapel collar over a high neck chartreuse pussy bow blouse featuring delicate gold flakes from Marc Jacobs’s Spring Summer 2019 collection. Christopher John Rogers silk and wool-blend twill tapered pants with elongated seams completed the look.

It was a “fun outfit for a lively show,” Hall adds. Her accessories: Jennifer Miller round ivory teardrop earrings with gold and crystal rondelles, an Alexis Bittar lucite block ring and Christian Louboutin black satin lace t-strap, patent-lined peep toe stilettos.

WEEK 17: Logomania

"This show was a music lover's dream. Ja Rule — who viral last week after announcing his music deal was worth $100 million — performed for the Tam Fam, as did Just Sam, the 2022 American Idol winner. Therefore, this outfit served as a love letter to music, a celebration of fun, and a tribute to rising up.

Hall wore a green velvet Gucci double-breasted blazer with peak lapels and matching flared-leg trousers. Under the blazer, Oséree’s O-Lover stretch-lace bodysuit in black. As for her accessories, Hall rocked a few JLANI rings in addition to her engagement and wedding rings, and metallic gold Tom Ford calf leather pointed-toe ankle strap shoes with signature lock hardware and sculptural metal heels.

WEEK 17: Last Looks

Hall shares the back of her horsebit “Music Is Mine” blazer, as well as her Dazzle Jewelry & Co. lucite ombre hoops.

WEEK 16: Mod Host

She kicked off the second week of 2024 with an “Austin Powers meets Tamron Hall” look. The vibe: “fun and flirty” for her relationship show. This pale pink Versace minidress did the trick with vintage patent leather Gucci boots and Jennifer Miller pink enamel earrings plus her signature pixie cut.

WEEK 16: Thinking Spring

Hall wanted to take a risk with the outfit for this show, which featured actors Teyana Taylor and RJ Cyler. “Monse has emerged as one of my favorite designers. I love that they play with structure [as exemplified by] the cap sleeve and asymmetry of the hem,” the host says of this floral print velvet dress.

The talk show host wore major drop earrings by Jennifer Miller and “added a fun touch with an onyx pyramid ring by a new accessory designer I've been wearing, Erin Fader.” [Fader’s looks have also been spotted on Meg Ryan and Kelsea Ballerini.]

The shoes — a Marskinryyppy red suede heels with clear straps — Hall says she has had “for some years now” and adds that the textured shoe complimented the dress “perfectly.”

WEEK 16: Buttoned Up

"Our friend Sergio Hudson sent this suit to me, and I thought it was perfect for the topic [the loneliness epidemic],” Hall says. The ensemble, in her “favorite” olive tone “worked well under the lights of our show.”

“We paired it with the Cinq á Sept Martha camisole in artichoke, “which we like so much,” Hall continues. She completed the look with black suede Alaïa platforms, Dazzle Jewelry & Co. hoops and a couple of JLANI rings.

WEEK 16: Re-Wear Queen

"This outfit had a twist and a turn. This jacket, a crepe Alexander McQueen piece with a crystal embellished starburst brooch, is a recycled look. And, we're back to our favorite green suede Gucci shoes,” says Hall.

“One of the reasons I picked out this jacket some years ago was for its versatility. The crystal on the lapel elevates it beyond a basic blazer. The strapless Emilia Wickstead Adalina midi dress underneath is also versatile. For on-air appearances, we thought the jacket added a layer of sophistication.”

It wouldn’t be a Hall fit without a bevy of accessories. She wore: Jennifer Miller white gold-plated flat tube hoop earrings and a 6-band clustered ring on her left hand. On her right hand, a JLANI stainless steel oval green ring.

WEEK 15: Black-and-White Swagger

New Year, same chic style!

Hall stepped into the first week of 2024 in one eye-catching look after another, including this black-and-white outfit consisting of the anOnlyChild St. Dorothy lace turtleneck top with ruched sleeves and exposed seams over the ivory Wolford Jamaika bodysuit, plus Jason Wu’s cascade ruffle straight-leg pants.

“The pants are currently my absolute favorite,” Hall says of the “outstandingly versatile” bottoms. The shoes? Vintage Christian Louboutin Bianca python platform pumps. “They showcase how I recycle things that I truly cherish,” Hall says.

She added some sparkle with Alessandra Rich square cubic zirconia clip-on earrings featuring a black stone and a large & Other Stories silver and pearl cluster ring on her right hand.

WEEK 15: Leather Weather

"This is a very fun and flirty leather dress — and a huge hit with the Tam Fam,” Hall shares of this lambskin, ankle-length Proenza Schouler Rosa design. “I love the slits at the bottom part of the dress, it creates an A-line silhouette that complements all body types.” The neckline, she says, “provides a nice peek of the shoulder without being inappropriate [for the show].”

She accessorized the “playful” dress with black-and-gold Balmain pumps as well as drop earrings by Jennifer Miller and an 18k yellow gold-plated JLANI ring with a chunky, honey quartz square stone.

WEEK 15: (Almost) All Black Everything

“I don’t often wear solid black, but when I do, I look for either interesting textures or interesting cuts, and this outfit fits the bill,” Hall says. Her pick: Brandon Maxwell’s The Claudia silk-crepe maxi dress with a crinkled leather belt. “The pleated bottom transforms what would be a basic black dress into something truly interesting and the glossy finish of the belt pops on camera.”

Hall paired the dress with Dazzle Jewelry & Co. Envy green lucite earrings, a gold-plated JLANI ring with a green stone, Erin Fader’s leopard dome ring and vintage green suede Gucci sandals with a gold snakeskin leather ankle strap.

WEEK 14: Purple Reign

Hall says this "vibrant, royal" purple Valentino dress, worn for the “Tamron’s Wish List” episode, “was the perfect way to kick off our week of wishes. I love dresses with pockets. We paired it with Dazzle Jewelry & Co. earrings and one of my favorite pairs of Tom Ford heels."

WEEK 14: Rockin' Out

For the "Tamron’s Potluck" episode, the host says, “We announced that we hit the road with Miranda Lambert in Las Vegas, so I was feeling a little Miranda, a little Elvis, a little Vegas.”

Channeling Sin City chic, she wore a Galvan + Net Sustain Globe Cleopatra white knit jumpsuit with an embellished neckline (which she found on net-a-porter.com) and added loads of accessories, including JLANI silver hoops, a white agate ring by Ginette and a lucite ring by Alexis Bittar. Another touch of sparkle came from her Aquazzura silver metallic ankle-strap stiletto heels.

While Hall “realized I was wearing a white jumpsuit while cooking with some amazing chefs,” she says, “taking the risk was worth it.”

WEEK 14: Silver Streak

"This beautiful sleeveless, silver mini dress is from Burberry. It’s very simple, but the neckline is so interesting and the drape gives this silhouette a little something extra," Hall says. JLANI rings and Manolo Blahnik Hangisi 110mm crystal-buckle satin pumps in pale pink completed the look.

WEEK 13: Thinking Pink

"This sparkly Rabanne suit was worn in honor of a significant celebration for the show. We are now officially the second longest-running Disney syndicated daytime talk show!”

The milestone marking this huge achievement called for special guests (close friend Luenell Campbell), and a party-ready look. Hall paired the two-piece with a lace Dolce & Gabbana corset with a  sweetheart neckline to break up the pink. And for shoes, she selected Saint Laurent’s gold glitter stiletto. “This is how you rock a suit” after hours, she says.

For her accessories, Hall got decked out in Dazzle Jewelry & Co. hoop earrings, a glass circular ring by Shannon Bond, and a white agate ring by Ginette.

WEEK 13: Going Green

Fun fact: Green is Hall’s favorite color. So, she was especially drawn to this Victoria Beckham jersey dress with its circular cutouts at the shoulder and waist and asymmetrical hem . “I love the elegance of this dress, especially the strategically placed keyhole on the shoulder that breaks up the voluminous silhouette.”

To complement the “statement-making” piece, Hall opted for “simple” jewelry (JLANI hoops and rings). One more touch: a pair of brown suede platform Alaïa heels with a suede strap. “I've owned them for about 10 years,” Hall says. “They exemplify my philosophy on fashion: mix existing pieces with something new.”

WEEK 13: Coming Up Roses

"This rose-embroidered mini dress is so much fun. The metallic green catches the camera light perfectly,” Hall said of this Valentino design, which she accessorized with shiny, brass-plated Cult Gaia Najia earrings and a Diamonique tennis bracelet.

The host adds that her Cult Gaia Bijan pointed-toe slingbacks with silver metallic balls “are my favorite part of this outfit. I recently bought them and am completely obsessed with them. The heel is a very on-trend height and shape.”

WEEK 12: Suit Up

This double-breasted Veronica Beard suit had Hall at lapel. “There was no need to layer it with a camisole; you simply let [that detail] speak for itself.” Hints of glitz in the form of the rhinestone crystal-encrusted piping on the blazer and her silver leather Saint Laurent pumps emphasized the festive spirit.

As for her accessories, Hall chose Shannon Bond found amber rings and Jennifer Miller white gold-plated multi-stone hoops. “The earrings are some of my favorites this season,” she says. “I love the chunky style with the extra bit of bling."

WEEK 12: Velvet Crush

Hall gave a masterclass on how to wear florals this winter in Cara Cara’s “Suzie” stretch velvet mock turtleneck. She paired the printed piece with a leather midi skirt from Tibi. For her jewelry, this time wore a 14K yellow gold-plated thin band with round pink quartz from JLANI, as well as Alexis Bittar’s Molten hoop earrings with hand-polished lucite and 14-karat gold plated brass. Black suede Giuseppe Zanotti pumps with wrap-around straps and exposed zip closures at the ankles rounded out her look.

“I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the turtleneck is an underestimated wardrobe essential,” Hall says. When it comes to the cozy, long-sleeve top, she says, “something with a print will elevate any outfit. We paired it with a leather skirt that's a regular part of our rotation — we've had it for about four seasons now, and we layer it with a number of pieces." The Lucite earrings? "A timeless choice."

WEEK 12: Sparkle & Shine

"Now we are in full holiday-mode on The Tamron Hall Show, so you'll see a lot of sequins and shimmer,” Hall says. Up first: this Sandro top and skirt. The host paired the fit with a thick black Saint Laurent belt with bold gold details. “I love the fit of this,” Hall gushes of the separates. “Many people didn't realize this was a two-piece because we layered it with a belt." A couple more pops of color came from lucite Alexis Bittar hoops and satin Gianvito Rossi stiletto pumps in neon pink.

WEEK 11: In Full Bloom

When you have a dress as pretty as this Oscar de la Renta sleeveless Camellia jacquard fit & flare dress, it’s only natural to want to pair it with a long-sleeve crewneck cardigan in the same floral print. “This dress was a huge hit with the Tam Fam,” Hall says of the outfit, which she paired with Dazzle Jewelry & Co. rhinestone-studded mint hoop earrings, a JLANI 14k gold large square pink quartz-accented ring and Gianvito Rossi Jaipur 105 embellished suede pumps in emerald green. “We just had a lot of fun with this look,” Hall says. “Rhinestone earrings are my favorite, and these emerald green complemented the floral perfectly.”

WEEK 11: White Hot

"This had to be one of my favorite outfits of the week,” Hall says of this “fantastic” Stella McCartney ivory sleeveless ruffle neck top and high-waisted front-slit midi skirt with a gold metallic embroidered pattern. Burgundy Paris Texas boots added a fun pop of color. “Everyone knows I’m a huge fan of Paris Texas. I love a good slouchy boot; it gives you a vintage, disco vibe.” Hall was also “obsessed” with her earrings — a 14K gold-plated negative space design by Elizabeth Hooper Studio — “they add a lot of fun and make this outfit less serious."

WEEK 11: Multi-Color Moment

For Hall’s “The Upcycled Self” episode, the host selected an outfit with vintage vibes: a Pucci Onde long-sleeve, button-down shirt, and Iride high-waist, ankle-skimming skirt, accessorized with a wide Isabel Marant belt and burgundy Christian Louboutin Pigalle Plato 120 calf leather pumps.

"This was a show dedicated to upcycling your life. I love this outfit for the show because it truly embodies the upcycled look. Since the outfit itself makes a bold statement, we opted for simple accessories. We're obsessed with adding a pop of color with our rings; it just makes things a lot more fun," Hall says.

WEEK 11: Orange Crush

"This orange dress is effortless — one of those things you can put on and not worry about anything else. The key to this look is the color. I always advise people that if you have a simple dress, go big with the color." Hall wore a Stella McCartney Cape maxi dress featuring three-quarter length sleeves, a back cape detail with a side slit, Dazzle Jewelry & Co. beaded hoop earrings in bone white, a JLANI “Iris” mother of pearl 18k gold-plated stainless-steel ring, Ettika Neon Days orange and pink resin ring set with rhinestones and Amina Muaddi “Rosie” glass pointed-toe slingback pumps in nude with a sparkly glass bow.

WEEK 10: Spotted on Set

"We do about 170 shows a season, so I always look for sets,” Hall shares. For this show, she chose two black-and-white polka-dot pieces from Sacai. This satin shirt and belted wide-leg pants, Hall adds, can be “paired with anything. I can wear the top with jeans or a black leather skirt, and the pants with a colorful sweater.” She gave the classic ensemble a modern touch with chunky Dazzle Jewelry & Co. three strand twisted hoops and 4-inch heeled leather Brother Vellies pumps in neon green.

WEEK 10: Pleats Please

Gushes Hall, “We adored this dress. The pleating adds to its fun and flirty vibe. And it’s an extremely versatile, year-round piece.” She gave the sleeveless Simkhai blazer dress with side pleating a fall feel with footwear from her personal closet; suede, pointed-toe Gianvito Rossi Calzatura boots in olive. She topped the look off with Alexis Bittar 14k gold-plated brass and silver lucite Mosaic Lucite Cascade Post earrings.

WEEK 10: Striking Stripes

To discuss “all the conspiracy theories and recent headlines involving UFOs” Hall leaned into the theme with an outfit that vibed Star Trek, she says. The Lanvin jersey dress had long sleeves and thin bold pink stripes for a pop of color. “We paired it with thigh-high boots. No one rocks the style like Mary J. Blige, but we are featuring a lot of them this season, Hall says” Her's were suede, pointed-toe Gianvito Rossi Calzatura boots in black. A sterling silver Elizabeth Hooper Studio ring and hoops, plus a Jlani ring with a smoke gray stone completed the look.

WEEK 9: Wild Side

“I wasn't always a fan of turtlenecks when I was anchoring because when you only see yourself from the waist up, you can look like a bobblehead. But this show is on a bigger stage, so you see the entire outfit,” says Hall. She teamed this velvet Proenza Schouler one with a leopard-spotted Le Superbe skirt (which they scooped up from Anthropologie) and a Maison Boinet black pony hair belt with a mini gold buckle.

"I love pairing this beautiful velvet turtleneck with an unexpected print skirt — It's a great balance of keeping the top simple and adding more pizzazz to the bottom. We kept it simple with the shoes [she wore Christian Louboutin black suede “So Kate” heels] because the skirt makes such a strong statement.”

Hall says this look is the perfect holiday inspo, especially with all the added sparkle from her Sèzane acetate “Sandy Earrings” in navy blue, three JLANI rings on her right hand, and her engagement and wedding rings on her left hand.

WEEK 9: Happy Halloween!

"This look was created as an homage to the Diana Ross movie version of The Wiz. Our amazing team put this together,” Hall says. The costume featured Domino Couture blouse and flounce skirt and mini Jennifer Miller hoops in white gold with cubic zirconias.

WEEK 9: Special Shoes

Hall’s team found these Azalea Wang “Bonnie” crystal-studded translucent stiletto-heel pumps at Nordstrom.

WEEK 9: Orange Crush

"This Saint Laurent minidress was so. Much. Fun,” says Hall of the long-sleeve, V-neck design. “It was my post-Halloween look, and I guess I was still in the spirit of [the holiday]. I love this color.” She paired it with brown glossy leather Bottega Veneta "Atomic" 90MM knee-high boots.

To balance the shoulders, Hall and her hairstylist Johnny Wright opted to style her hair “a bit more forward-facing than usual,” Hall explains. The host accessorized with Jennifer Miller multi-circle double hoop gold drop earrings and two JLANI “Olivia” 18K gold-plated stainless steel, oval-shaped rings plus another 18k gold plated stainless steel twisted leaf ring from the brand.

“I remember when I turned 40, someone said, 'Women over 40 should not wear minis.' I'm in my mid 50s now, and I'm going to keep wearing minis, and I recommend all women do the same. I’ve always been defiant about that. Wear what makes you feel good!"

WEEK 9: Purple Reign

Hall hosts a biannual Beauty Bar to celebrate all the industry has to offer, including “some of the best influencers and the top creatives out there,” she says. They “always aim to add a touch of sparkle to the occasion,” so for this fall iteration, they chose a long-sleeve, rhinestone-studded Self-Portrait midi dress.

Pink and purple jewelry, including acetate Sèzane “Sandy” earrings, a pink resin Ettika ring and a JLANI 14K yellow gold-plated thin band with small round quartz stone, added complemented the dress while Yeezy season 4 PVC Lucite plexi clear transparent mule sandals completed the “very fun and festive” look.

WEEK 8: Well Suited

Hall is all about bringing a little flair to daytime TV style. Case in point: This Jean Paul Gaultier suit. “It’s a fun way to take something many people see as serious and turn it up. This is show-business!” she says of the wide-leg design in ecru with a burgundy pinstripe and lace-up details. Hall paired it with the Wolford Jamaika thong bodysuit, plus Alaïa brown suede platform heels Hall bought “many, many years ago” and a rose gold cubic zirconia band from Pandora, a brand Hall “absolutely adores.”

WEEK 8: Flower Girl

“I love these rose gold earrings. The suit is so dynamic that a basic hoop would get lost,” Hall explains. “I always tell people that when you go for a big look like this, don't skimp on your earrings, even if you don't consider yourself a big earrings person. The large earrings complement the bold look."

WEEK 8: Casually Cool

"I'm a huge fan of shirt dresses, and this one is a very modern, fresh, and free-spirited look that perfectly matched how I felt,” says Hall. She accessorized this anOnlyChild white cotton button-down balloon dress with billowy sleeves with Alexis Bittar molten 14k gold plated earrings featuring a citrine stone and blue lucite. “This is a look that I could easily wear right out the door from the show with some sneakers, and feel just as comfortable.”

WEEK 8: Boots Made for Walkin'

Of these pointed toe, denim-effect calf suede, slouchy stiletto-heel boots by Paris Texas (her favorite boot designer), Hall says, “I want to give [the brand] a huge shout-out because they truly excel at [capturing] that '70s style. It's not just because I'm from Texas; I believe they create fun, modern boots with a nostalgic edge like nobody else."

WEEK 8: Spicy Suit

Hall wore a La Double J Keaton terra colored velvet blazer with peach feather trim  and matching pants, Aquazzura metallic gold leather ankle-strap sandals, ivory bamboo and gold-accent hoops and orange resin Ettika rings. 

 "We are big fans of La Double J's fun yet functional clothing. A suit does not need to have a traditional, corporate look. This suit has a structured appearance but adds a bit of spice with the feathers on the sleeves. We paired it with a fantastic peach tank from Zara that complements the sleeves. I believe you could wear this look anywhere, from the office to a cocktail party."

WEEK 7: Standout Shirtdress

"I've always loved the versatility of a shirtdress. This one has such an interesting tie, its details made it stand out on air,” Hall says of this Zara ivory design with contrasting black piping, which she accessorized with Jennifer Miller earrings.

WEEK 7: Falling for Footwear

Hall completed her look with a pair of Gianvito Rossi "Imperia" olive suede lace-up boots “that I've had for probably five or six years,” she says.

WEEK 7: The Sweetest Dress

“When I wear a softer print, I prefer having the contrast of a more edgy shoe,” says Hall, who paired this summer-y Dolce & Gabbana cherry charmeuse ruched midi dress with tall, black suede Gianvito Rossi stiletto heel boots. She accessorized the look with Dazzle Jewelry & Co. “Five” script necklace bedazzled with in cubic zirconias, plus two-inch wavy red large hoops from the brand.

WEEK 7: Sparkle and Shine

Hall tucked the Libertine “Longfellow’s Light of Stars Tie-Neck Silk Blouse” with a hand-embellished crystal beaded design into a pair of vintage black velvet Gucci tuxedo pants featuring hidden zippers at the ankles. Fun fact: the pants “are about 20 years old!” Hall shares.

Of the top’s brilliant sparkle, she adds, “it can also be paired with white pants in the summer or even a pair of denim shorts if you're feeling adventurous." Hall teamed the pieces with Alexis Bittar lucite block rings in silver and Alessandra Rich heart crystal clip-on earrings.

WEEK 7: Super Shoes

"This was a very enjoyable show because we had the opportunity to showcase an incredible collaboration between Christian Louboutin and Marvel,” explains Hall, who shared a close up of the pair she wore: the Christian Louboutin x Marvel  “Imperious Rex” Leather Sandals 85 featuring PVC straps and metallic silver-tone embellishments over the arch of the foot.

WEEK 6: Signature Style

“This look truly represents our approach to fashion on the show and my personal style. It all comes down to texture — we don't shy away from it,” said Hall of the Balmain blazer and Weekend Max Mara skirt.

The velvet jacket — featuring silver glitter polka-dots, black satin-trimmed peak lapels and oversize crystal-encrusted buttons — plus the light blue pleated satin skirt “really stood out” under the studio’s lights, emphasizing each piece’s standout details. Hall added the designs would also shine while “walking down the street.”

Hall accessorized the items with Jennifer Miller turquoise teardrop earrings with gold and crystal rondelles and a 12.5 carat emerald cut faux diamond ring in white gold, as well as black satin Manolo Blahnik pumps.

WEEK 6: Here Comes the Sun

Hall wore a neon yellow Proenza Schouler midi length shirtdress with a band collar, long dolman sleeves and a black button-adorned side hem. “I adore shirtdresses. I find them incredibly versatile,” said Hall, who’s also a huge fan of the hue. “It's a color that might seem intimidating at first, but it complements any complexion. And once you hear everyone complimenting how great you look in it, you'll want to wear it again."

Another plus, Hall continued, is that this dress — with its matte satin fabric — “is truly a year-round style. It can be worn with strappy sandals in the summer (or even a pair of sneakers!), and boots in the winter.” Hall paired hers with Alaïa Bombe black patent leather heels. Dazzle Jewelry & Co. Celine black mesh crystal hoops and a Jennifer Miller white gold-plated crystal plumeria flower open ring completed her look.

WEEK 6: Flower Power

With this floral print Versace cocktail dress’s black and glacier green color scheme matching the cover of the author’s forthcoming book, “Watch Where They Hide,” Hall felt it was worth the splurge. “I instantly fell in love with the dress. It’s defiant, powerful, and serves as a love letter — an homage, if you will — to my new novel.”

That wasn’t the only message Hall sent. Choosing a mini dress, she shared, also opposed the status quo. “I wholeheartedly encourage all women to challenge style rules that suggest women of a certain age cannot wear short skirts or miniskirts,” she said.

Hall topped off the look with Jennifer Miller  clear rhinestone hoop earrings and a pavé cubic zirconia multi band ring, plus Gianvito Rossi embellished silver PVC ankle strap heels.

WEEK 6: A Masterclass in Transitional Dressing

Hall and her team stumbled upon this Sika Lupita cotton ruffle-sleeve dress with a multicolor geometric print on sale at Anthropologie! “I absolutely adore the way it gracefully drapes around the shoulders,” she said.

The styling is an “excellent example of how to transition a summer look into fall. I paired it with the Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 85 in a wine-colored suede, providing a jewel-toned accent,” Hall said. In addition, the host wore Jennifer Behr Lara floral gold tone crystal and 18k gold plated earrings.

“We also switched up my makeup, opting for a great fall matte lip,” Hall added. Thanks to the rich hints of color, Hall didn’t have to wait until next summer to rock this end-of-season find.

WEEK 4: Quick Change Artist

This week Hall celebrated emerging designers with her “Up-and-Coming Fashion Designer Series” — and also showed off the up and comers looks on her program. First up, for Hall’s “Fierce Names in Fashion” show, she wore an Evan Hirsch two-in-one design.

Hall sashayed onto her stage wearing a black and charcoal floral print mini dress that transformed before her audience’s eyes into a burgundy floral print crepe de chine midi gown when she let the sleeves down.

“The dress I wore, I don’t think anyone saw coming,” Hall said of the piece, which she styled with a Jennifer Miller ring and drop earrings, as well as the Aquazzura Monaco beaded sandal in anthracite.

“I loved this dress, and it is absolutely something that I would wear. I travel a lot for the show and with my family, so this is a winner for me [because] you get two dresses in one.”

WEEK 4: Fashion Track

On Tuesday’s “Fashion and Fitness Stars You Love” show, Hall rocked a “super-cool, modern look from our up-and-coming designer Rachel Stevens,” she says. The multi-color, neoprene track suit featured a caterpillar hood jacket. She styled the look with SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker Fawn satin yellow pumps.

“I don’t wear a lot of athleisure on our show, but I do in my life away from [it]. This is a showstopper, especially for someone who loves that modern contemporary edge. The colors popped, and the texture is so refreshing.”

WEEK 4: Accessory Game Strong

Of course, no look is complete without a little bling. Hall paired this menswear-inspired outfit with Cult Gaia Najia gold studded oval clip-on earrings and JLANI Iris yellow gold-plated rings in mother of pearl and a green stone.

WEEK 4: Dress to Impress

For the “Dream Big Hustle Hard” show, Hall wore a ruched velvet corset dress by Jayda Ellis, plus Khoi Xola earrings in silver and Gianvito Rossi pale pink satin ankle strap shoes.

“Each year we have someone who specializes in formal wear,” explains Hall. “I love strapless dresses. I remember Donna Karen saying years ago that your neckline is where you can still show youthfulness.”

Hall'a a big fan of the color, too. “This beautiful mauve is just so striking. It would work on just about any complexion. This is very on-brand with the things that I like to wear to galas. But I also can see someone wearing this to a wedding or to a party,” especially during holiday season, Hall says.

WEEK 4: Statement Creation

Last, but certainly not least, during the “Up and Coming Finale” show, Hall wore aChuks Collins ocean blue suede jacket and powder blue silk taffeta skirt. “This is such a rockstar moment,” she says of the final look in the series.

“This unforgettable, voluminous, high-low skirt leaves quite an impression. I love that it was paired with a much more simple, cropped top. Part of my fashion philosophy is balance. You can have a statement piece and balance it with something that compliments but does not overshadow.”

As for her accessories, Hall shares, “We pulled a really substantial pair (Sophia Webster Raye bow-embellished platform sandals in rose gold metallic leather) from my shoe archive to balance the weight of the skirt both visually and the actual weight of the skirt.” Chunky jewelry (Khoi brass and plated 18k gold 4 circular earrings and multi-band rose gold Pandora rings) was the finishing touch.

WEEK 3: Pleats Please!

Finding outfits that reflect the changing season is a challenge Hall happily accepts. "It can be tough picking out the right look for this pre-fall weather, but this pleated Weekend Max Mara skirt is perfect. I love the flow of it," she says of the midi style which she cinched at the waist with a gold belt from her personal archives. "It's a skirt you can pair with a blazer or with a bold top, as I did. It has a lot of life and texture.”

WEEK 3: Giving Vintage Vibes

“I love this Zimmermann look! It has a disco vibe to it," Hall says of this halter top and skirt, which she accessorized with a belt. "When I saw it, I thought its beautiful metallic shimmer would look good under the [studio] lights and on camera, but it's also a forgiving cut, and it speaks to that flowy skirt spirit that I have right now.”

WEEK 2: Birthday Catsuit

“For my birthday look, I knew we had to make a statement," Hall says. To celebrate turning 53, she adds "the entire show was dedicated to feeling free — and nothing is more freeing than having the nerve to wear a Dolce & Gabbana catsuit on national television." Hall's on-air fête also included a serenade by powerhouse performer Deborah Cox.

WEEK 2: Ringing in Her Big Day

"I've gone full cougar at 53!" Hall told her Tam Fam to cheers. The host accessorized with gemstone rings (shown), hoops and heeled sandals. Of the show, she says, "It was a fun way to celebrate a birthday and to double down on who I hope I am at this point, which is someone who is still willing to experiment, to have fun and live by my own rules.”

WEEK 2: Star in Stripes

“This is one of my favorite dresses from designer Silvia Tcherassi. I love the puffy sleeves and the collar," Hall shares. She paired the tie-front design (which she got over the summer, on sale!) with a pair of loafers. "I am really big on loafers right now. I got these in Chicago a few years ago. I’m a sucker for a good shirtdress and a really smart pair of loafers to pair it with.”

WEEK 2: New Novel Flow

To debut the cover for her second book, "Watch Where They Hide," Hall was giving "new novelist swagger” in a Veronica Beard crochet-trim tweed jacket, she says. The host, her stylist Eric Niemand and wardrobe supervisor Fiorella Aller paired the “amazing” piece with a metallic tank she’s had all five seasons. “We are really trying to collect tanks. I look for interesting ones (when they are on sale!) because they can take a jacket or even a skirt to the next level. A pair of Tom Ford gold heels was the finishing touch. “They were a splurge but they are my favorite, go-to metallic shoes.”

WEEK 2: Thinking Pink

To welcome fellow TV hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Hall chose a "phenomenal metallic" Zara knit sweater vest and "psychedelic pink" Alexander McQueen straight leg wool trouser pants.

“I have been wearing a lot of Barbie pink — it’s the season!" Hall says. "For my body type, I tend to like high waist pants more. We paired these with this vest that was like $39. That’s what our team does. We find these unexpected treasures," Hall says, adding that it's all about getting your hands on items you love, "but also feeling good about that find because it matches your budget.”

WEEK 1: Fit for Kickoff

For the start of season five, Hall wore a jersey with a special meaning. “We had a custom two-piece look for our premiere created by an award-winning designer from our Let's Be Free show, Domino. He created this fun sporty look with the number five inspired by my team the Tam Fam.”

Her earrings—clear lucite hoops with rhinestones—are Alexis Bittar, “who I've been wearing for a very long time,” Hall adds. “It's beautiful jewelry. Fun and versatile.” A silver JLANI "5" charm with clear rhinestones (on a silver necklace) completed her look.

WEEK 1: Bring on the Barbiecore

For the last decade, Hall has collaborated with stylist Eric Niemand. The two have worked together on some of her most memorable looks, among them when Hall hosted the Oscars red carpet in 2020, and her first red carpet after her dear friend Prince’s death.

This season, the fashion aficionado weren’t going to let one of the biggest pop culture and fashion moments of 2023 pass them by. “We went all out and splurged on this pink number for our Barbie/Bey-Hive/Swiftie celebration.” Hall paired the fuchsia-and-white cotton tweed Oscar De La Renta dress and Alessandra Rich crystal flower earrings with Gianvito Rossi silver shoes “that I think I've owned for 10 years!"

WEEK 1: Sunshine Daydream

Hall brightened up her N.Y.C studio in this Sergio Hudson number. The award-winning designer is also “a celebrity favorite,” Hall explains. “He has been worn by Beyoncé, Keke Palmer, Michelle Obama, JLo and Blake Lively.”

WEEK 1: From the Archives

Hall gets down to business in an Alicia + Olivia top, Stella McCartney skirt and earrings are by Dazzle Jewelry & Co. The boots — Christian Louboutin — are her own.

Stylist Niemand and Hall are known for pulling clothes from a myriad of sources, including from Hall's closet. “We upcycle and recycle — that is important,” says Hall. “We did our promo shoot for this season and most of the looks were from my closet and a few pieces were worn in season one. A lot of shoes are, shall I say, vintage. That’s the cool way to say older than 10 years. I was not raised in a world where you wear things once and toss it away. I was taught to find a way to rock it again and again.”
