Howl-O-Scream: Busch Gardens’ annual event returns in full force, taking over the entire park with haunted houses, scare zones, sinister shows and more. The Crucible: TampaRep teams up with ThinkTank Theatre to present this play that explores the dangers of religious extremism, mass hysteria and the scapegoating of innocent people. Set in Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692, the play tells the story of a group of young girls who begin to exhibit strange behavior, claiming to be possessed by the devil. Lights at Spooky Point: Follow an eerily lit path through the wooded campus and past several historic structures. Along the way, you’ll encounter plant-related Halloween light displays. Highlights include spectral “ghost orchids” floating above the Pioneer Graveyard, giant “Dracula orchids” draped with Spanish moss, and colorful “spider orchids” clinging to their webs in the trees.
