The acting bug has hit the Reid family hard.

Not only is Chiefs coach Andy Reid a regular in commercials (ranging from State Farm to Snickers), but his wife, Tammy, had a guest starring role in Friday’s episode of the CBS drama “S.W.A.T.”

Here is a description of the show from IMDb: “Follows a locally born and bred S.W.A.T. sergeant and his team of highly-trained men and women as they solve crimes in Los Angeles.”

Tammy Reid didn’t play a police officer in the episode, which was entitled “Family Man.”

Instead, she portrayed a television reporter, whose name is ... Tammy. She grills Commander Robert ‘”Bob” Hicks (portrayed by Patrick St. Esprit), who is not willing to share anything the police knows.

Take a look at the scene:

The “S.W.A.T.” writers shared a picture on X of Tammy and Andy Reid on the set of the show.

The show’s script coordinator, Amelia Sims, shared a photo with Tammy Reid and they were each wearing a Super Bowl championship ring. Sims also said she slipped in a reference to Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s podcast “New Heights.”

It’s not known how Tammy was chosen for the guest spot. Andy Reid grew up in Los Angeles (and has a cool connection with the movie “Grease”), so maybe that’s how it came to happen.

However it came to be, that’s a fun cameo.
