Tameka Foster is cheering on her ex-husband, Usher.

The fashion stylist - who shares sons Usher V, 16, and Naviyd Ely, 15, with the 45-year-old “OMG” singer - spent Super Bowl Sunday in the stands watching Usher’s halftime performance.

“I think that he did amazingly well,” Foster, 53, tells PEOPLE about her ex-husband’s performance. “I did not notice one — I mean, not one — blemish in the performance. He crushed it… he killed it. I don't think people realize that he's singing live and doing all of this stuff. So that's one thing that really needs to be taken into consideration. The mic is always on when he’s around, he can sing for real. It was beyond… above anyone’s expectations.”

Foster — who is known for having styled Usher as well as JAY-Z, Mary J. Blige, Patti LaBelle and many other big-name stars — says that when it came to her ex-husband’s halftime performance outfits, there was only one thing she would change.

“His looks were great… I thought he looked nice,” the fashion stylist says. “The only comment I had is that I wish that his opening outfit was a little more slim fit — not small, but a little slimmer, just because I really prefer to see lines on dancers when people are dancing. I like to see the lines of their physique. But aside from that, I loved the outfits. I loved the opening, the overcoat, everything.”

When it came to planning the halftime show, Foster said it was a family affair. “Naviyd was very instrumental in his father’s Super Bowl performance,” she tells PEOPLE. “He is so creative… he had tons of ideas. He literally did the whole performance — even with [Usher] starting out in the chair. I want him to go the creative director route. That is his calling.”

Usher’s halftime performance was not his only important headline from Super Bowl weekend. The Grammy-winning artist married his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea, 40, in Las Vegas on Feb. 11.

While Foster hasn’t spoken to Usher since his recent marriage — “I'm sure I'll speak to him before [this article] comes out,” she says — the stylist is happy for her ex-husband. “I think it's great. I mean, listen, love is a beautiful thing, and if he's found it again, congratulations.”

Foster says she looks back on her relationship with Usher and has “fond memories,” but is now focused on what’s in front of her. The stylist is starring in WE tv’s newest show, Bold & Boujie, premiering on Thursday. “It's been really, really wonderful,” Foster says about filming the show alongside Malaysia Pargo, Gocha Hawkins, Princess Banton-Lofters and Crystal Smith. “I find joy in our differences….I love getting to know them. And we have a great sisterhood right now.”

Now that the show has aired, Foster is looking toward her next venture. No matter what she is doing, or who she is doing it with, the Bold & Boujie star knows she will be okay. “I've been very successful on my own for a long time.”
