A second time's the charm for Tamar Braxton!

The Braxton Family Values star, 46, got engaged to Jeremy "JR" Robinson for the second time on Christmas Day. This comes after the pair recently rekindled their relationship after calling off their first engagement in October.

Braxton shared two videos from Robinson's proposal on Instagram, and explained how the couple made such a dramatic turnaround in their relationship.

"3 months ago we thought we HATED each other and we were completely OVER🫠," she wrote. "Here we are after a simple football game box you got for your birthday and one REAL HARD conversation … we knew that whatever happened in the past was just that and ANYTHING other than US and our family only mattered."

Braxton also addressed the questions and criticism she anticipated coming her way after sharing her engagement news. "So the truth is WE DONT CARE if anyone disagrees with it … we choose to love each other OUTLOUD and PROUD because we found something worth fighting for and forgiving each other for EVERYDAY in front and behind the scenes," she continued.

She concluded her message with a shout-out to her fiancé. "@rarebreednola I love you with my entire heart and from now on our troubles are miles away🙏🏼📍✨….I’m having myself a Merry little Christmas now❤️✨," she wrote.

Robinson commented on the post, "I love you beyond life and back @tamarbraxton."

The first of the two videos captured the "Love and War" singer dressed in festive Christmas pajamas and looking at the contents of a small blue ring box with shock and amazement. The second clip showed Robinson on one knee as he slipped the very large diamond ring on Braxton's finger.

Braxton's celebrity friends filled the comments section with messages of love and congratulations. "So happy for you, sis. You deserve all the good this world has to offer💜💜💜🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💋💋💋," Taraji P. Henson wrote, while Married to Medicine star Phaedra Parks commented, "Congratulations @tamarbraxton!!! 😍💍💕."

Earlier this month, Robinson revealed the couple's reconciliation in a lengthy Instagram post while reflecting on his mistakes and the work he's done to become a better partner for Braxton.

"I had to fight hard to push past the hurt, and past my own ego, because God kept bringing me back to how much I love @tamarbraxton — and yet, I still needed to heal to see the beauty of our love," the attorney wrote.

Robinson admitted he felt "angry" and “took advantage of people" after his relationship with Braxton ended. “Hurt people, hurt people," he explained. “And for that, I take accountability for wanting her to feel some of my pain.”

He explained that he did a lot of "healing" during their short separation and expressed his gratitude that he and Braxton were "able to find our way back to love.”

He added, “I am incredibly touched by how much [Braxton] fought for me! I’m committed to loving this woman forever and I appreciate all the love and support that have come from our family, friends and supporters!”

Robinson and Braxton first got engaged in the season 1 finale of Peacock's Queens Court, which aired in March. On Oct. 2, however, Robinson announced in a post on his Instagram Stories that the pair had ended their engagement.

"Tamar and I are no longer together. I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy & being a better person," he wrote at the time.

While he said he wouldn't divulge details about what led to the split, he denied separate allegations that he cheated and that he dated Braxton for "fame."

"Ultimately, I fell in love and it did not end how I wanted it," he wrote, noting that he and Braxton would "always be friends and family for life."

A source later told PEOPLE that the split was Braxton's decision.

"There’s been a lot of drama, but the hope is that the nail isn’t all the way in the coffin for them. She needs time," the source said. "The ball is in her court. She’s in a good mental state and has a great village around her and supporting her through this."

Braxton was previously married to Vincent Herbert for nine years. The pair — who divorced in 2017 — share a son, Logan, 10.
