ST. JOSEPH — The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra presents “The Four Seasons” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at The Heritage Museum and Cultural Center, 601 Main St.

This intimately sized performance features SMSO’s concertmaster, Whun Kim, and associate concertmaster, Abigail Weener, on violin.

The program includes the “Spring” movement from Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” and newer, contemporaryarrangements of the work, as well as the “Morning” movement from Haydn’s Symphony No. 6.

The new works include “More Seasons” by Michael Abels, Astor Piazzola’s “The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires: Verano Porteño (Summer),” a world premiere of a new work by Michael Boyman based on the “Fall” movement and Max Richter’s “The Four Seasons Recomposed (Winter).”

A pre-concert conversation with SMSO Music Director Matthew Aubin starts at 6:30 p.m.
