The Talk - Shemar Moore on 'S.W.A.T.' and Fatherhood; it's 'a blessing I'm waiting to have'

Friday on "The Talk" Shemar Moore joins the show's 2500th episode celebration and spills on "S.W.A.T." and fatherhood. Jerry O'Connell says, "In this week's episode of 'S.W.A.T' Hondo and his girlfriend Nichelle [Rochelle Aytes] are getting ready to take a huge step and adopt a child." Moore reacts, "My mother is in heaven right now going 'I wish it was the real thing. My mother always said to me my whole life, 'I'm going to be the oldest grandmother in the world, are you done practicing yet?' I said, 'Mama, I'm doing it on TV.' In real life that's still a blessing I'm waiting to have, and so I take notes from my character on television. But yes, I do want to be a father one day." Moore adds, "It's nice to see Hondo taking on family and making it about something bigger than himself." On getting ready to celebrate 100 episodes of 'S.W.A.T.,' Moore says, "To make our show, we feel is a movie made for TV...but also what I'm proud of is we also tackle real topics...we talk about Black Lives Matter, we talked about suicide by cop, we talked about school shootings, human trafficking. You know, so I like that we're a fun show, but we stay grounded."
