‘Talk Nerdy To Me’ Blog-Inspired Comedy From Jerry Bruckheimer TV Gets CBS Production Commitment
In a competitive situation, Talk Nerdy To Me, a multi-camera comedy from 2 Broke Girls writer-producer Morgan Murphy and former Modern Family executive producer Bill Wrubel, has landed at CBS with a pilot production commitment. Jerry Bruckheimer TV, which has been looking to expand into half-hour comedy series, is producing with Warner Bros TV, where the company is based.

s around four smart, ambitious, twenty-something women — two computer programmers, a musician and a doctor — who share a house on the canals in Venice, CA, and support one another as they reach for their dreams professionally and personally.
Murphy and Wrubel executive produce with Jerry Bruckheimer TV’s Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman. KristieAnne Reed co-executive produces.
This marks Wrubel’s second comedy collaboration to land a big commitment this season. Single-camera Dream Team, which Wrubel is co-writing with Kari Lizer, has received a pilot production commitment at ABC. It also hails from WBTV where Wrubel is under an overall deal.
This also marks the second big commitment for Jerry Bruckheimer TV this
broadcast selling season. The company also has Training Day, a drama based on Antoine Fuqua’s acclaimed movie, is set at CBS with a pilot production commitment. JBTV also recently received a pilot order at TNT for Home and series order at Spike for Harvest.
Friel describes the Talk Nerdy To Me, Lover blog as “examining the lives of nerds outside of the basements and into the social media, and dating world.”
