Wednesday on "The Talk" David Alan Grier tears up as he shares a story about when his "A Soldiers Play" co-star Jerry O'Connell accidentally posted his phone number in a congratulatory Tony Award post. "On the first table read, after we finished our table read, Jerry said, 'You're going to win a Tony for this'. And he would say it every day. It was embarrassing, and I felt ashamed. I would tell him, 'man, shut up'. And so, he was absolutely right, and I'm getting emotional because it was crazy. And so when I posted I said this is what this man said, and look at God. He posted my number and... people started texting me and calling me, and it was all love though, not one crank call... it turned out to the craziest thing, and I thank you Jerry." Grier reveals details about staring in and the upcoming television limit series of "A Soldier's Play." "It's a limited series, and really, what I guess I can best describe it as is kind of like Sergeant Waters, his origin story... this is a World War II murder mystery, and we want to kind of delve into all of that stuff... he was one of the few African American soldiers."
