Host Carrie Ann Inaba becomes emotional on "The Talk" Tuesday revealing her recent Lupus diagnosis. Inaba confides, I was diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome six years ago; I have Spinal Stenosis and I was recently diagnosed with Lupus." She goes on to ask guest Dr. Mehmet Oz for his one piece of advice for those with invisible illnesses. Dr. Oz says, "Don't be an invisible patient...I know it's hard," Dr. Oz says to Inaba. "The best thing you can do, is when you go to see a doctor, you write all your questions down ahead of time... and always record what was said. We know that half of what we tell patients is forgotten by the time they leave the door." Inaba adds, "Also, even more than that, because I take notes at all my sessions, and six years ago I had Lupus, but she didn't tell me, my doctor... even be more diligent ask and ask and ask again."
