Tuesday on "The Talk" Ashanti opens up about receiving the Lady of Soul Honor at this year's Soul Train Awards. "It's such an amazing feeling, such a big moment for me. I actually received the Aretha Franklin Entertainer of the Year Award back in 2001. So to come back almost 20 years later, receiving the Lady of Soul honor is like such a huge, huge moment for me. And hey, it means, I'm still here. So I'm very, very humbled." Ashanti reflects on the impact Soul Train had on her. "Soul Train is such a staple for our culture. It creates this platform for artists, to set trends, for us, you know what I mean. I remember having Soul Train on in the house...It was like a community thing. That's what it was, that's the staple." The 2021 "Soul Train Awards" airs Sunday, November 28 on BET and BET Her.
